I did play a practice round on Ayrshire, the next stop on our tour and it is skinny. Almost too much so. Heavy rough is very thick. It looks nice but if you are struggling to hit it straight, this is gonna be a challenge. Practiced once or twice as well - it seems to be a bit more challenging than Windstone. Good luck to all this week !

-1 first round for me this week, better start than last week and I'm pretty happy with it considering the narrow fairways. I'll probably play the second round tomorrow then wait to see where I am in relation to the cut before playing any more.

Started off this week with a -4, -1 to put me at -5 for the cut..
The course is scorable- and provides some relief in the way of hills if you're offline right or left- some of them will kick the ball back towards the fairway.
Good luck E'zers..

Nice start 👍🏻 I managed a -2 for the first round, very frustrating round with so many putts just grazing the edge of the cup. The tighter fairways definitely made it a bit more challenging than last week for me. Good luck for the rest of your rounds -5 is sure to make the cut

Started off pretty well with 69-69 in the first two rounds, then made the mistake of waiting a few days to play the last two. Got absolutely @!$#ed by the new putting system and ended up going 75-72. Oh well. Back to the drawing board with the putting strategy. Interesting, my putting has vastly improved since the update. I’m finding I’m not under putting as many, before I’d have 4/5 a round. But I’ve heard others complaining the same thing is happening to them with putting after the update. What putting technique do you use? Personally I pull back very slowly until I feel the rumble and then power through I turned off the haptic feedback about three holes after getting the game. I was using the same putting approach as in 2019, just taking it back at a "normal" consistent speed regardless of the length and using the visual of the character's putter on the backswing to gauge distance. I have a good idea of what the backswing looks like for a 5, 10, 20, 30, 40 footer and kind of extrapolate other distances from there. The stroke in 2K21 was about twice as powerful as 2019, so I had a good feel for a 20 foot putt (hit it like a 10 footer in 2019.) I'm already feeling more comfortable with the new system, it just takes time to get used to the "forced" slow swing speed on shorter putts especially. I was leaving a lot of 10 footers short and missing 25 footers long before I got used to it.

-8 thru 2 rds. Best score yet for TGC (besides True Sim). Excited to see where the pack will stand in the coming days! Good luck to all!

Sitting this week out while I'm on vacation. Might be good to reset and come back fresh.

Shot -3 in the second round to be -4 overall. Neither round had any consistency with tempo, however there were short bursts of consistency in the second round that allowed me to grab a few birdies. Putting is still hit and miss, probably could have gone -6/-7 if I'd made some pretty gettable putts. I'm not having much trouble with the speed, just allowing for too much or not enough break too often. I'm sure I'll get better at it the more I play though.

Good luck for the rest of your rounds -5 is sure to make the cut Well, didn't do much to improve - round 3 and 4 played a little tougher - even on the closer tees round 3 - finished up those with +1, -1 = so I stay at -5 total. I'm thinking -5 should be good for the cut, and if so, should keep me far enough away from a demo mark.. Good luck E'zers !!

Decided to play the third round today and finished with -2, to be -6 overall. Started well with a birdie after missing the fairway then couldn't buy another one until the 8th and 9th holes to be -3 at the turn. Unfortunately lost my tempo a little on the back and ended up in some crappy sidehill lies which led to a couple of bogeys, but was able to limit the dropped shots to one.
I'll play the final round tomorrow. Certainly not in contention for anywhere near the top of the leaderboard but should hopefully make the cut and avoid another demo mark.

Sitting -7 after 2 rounds (-3, -4) feeling good so far. But I see some have said the 3rd & 4th rounds are a bit tougher.
Here's to fairway drives and pin seeking approaches!
Good luck out there!

Same here, -5 for the cut. -3 R1 and -2 R2. I had a hand full of approach shots that landed within 3 feet that made me feel so much better about my game. Also, my putting has drastically increased after adjusting a couple things and actually concentrating. I'm starting to sink most putts within 10ft and usually 2-putting once I'm on the green instead of the terrible 3 & 4-putts. The wind increase for R3 & R4 is my nemesis. Finished R3 +1 to go to -4. Hoping it effects some of the people above me as well. Lol

Finished my first 2 rounds -2 and -3. More than happy with that. I was fearing this course wouldn’t suit me with the tight fairways. Enjoying the course but I’m finding it harder than Windstone.
Wasn’t pretty scoring... quite a bit of scrambling for pars and tempo was a bit erratic.
Should make the cut which was my target at the start. Hoping making 2 cuts in a row means I can start to be competitive in CC-E.
Good luck to those still to play!
