Hi Doyle I am confused about something. Just read the thread regarding this weeks tournament being on last weeks events so I looked that up. When I went there I was surprised to see that I was in 13th place and having shot 111 in the first round. They even had scores on a score card. The interesting thing about this is that I have not even made one stroke on this tournament yet. My name is Don Bavaro and my GT is DBLooper1111 and I am in the CC K flight. I was considering submitting a scoring report on issue but thought I would was you here first what to do.

This is from the shoutbox: "Doyley: shut down score retrieval - looks like we're pulling from the wrong season. Tim will have to fix in am." So until that is corrected it stands to ignore the scores right now as they are from a previous TGCT event somewhere.

I played my round 1 yesterday in this weeks qualifying event, but on the web site, I'm not showing up in the Qualifyiing Leaderboard, or anywhere that I can find.
I'm logged in, and have registered for Main tour.
Would what I've quoted from you be affecting that? Did you mean all scores from all current week leaderboards, or is that pertaining to last weeks results?

Possibly, however Jeff (SmilingGoats) indicated in the shoutbox that the leaderboards were corrected for the above issue. Might want to take up a ticket with Admin or wait a bit and take one up later if no change happens. The Qualifying Pool concept is new, so maybe some technical issues going on.

Sorry if this has already been answered, how do we get promoted now?
I take it you can not take part in Q school each week if already on a tour?
So we have to wait for the promotion events as previously? Every 8 weeks?
What will I have to do get promoted? (I'm in CC-B.)

Get 5 3 promotion marks to promote up one tour. 5 demotion marks to be demoted one tour. You get one by finishing in the top 15% of the field and two for finishing in the top 7.5%. Demotions work the same way except for the bottom of the field. Finishing above the cut line takes away one demotion mark if you had any accumulated. Finishing below the cut line takes away one promotion mark if you had any accumulated.

Excellent, thanks Really like the new top 15 and 7.5 percentage thing π I remembered reading promotion/demotion was going to be more dynamic this season, but hadn't seen an announcement on the method. Promotion events?

Promotion events? There are 6 of them listed on the Platinum Tour schedule. Actually it only takes 3 promo marks to move up - OR - if you win on a CC tour - you're automatically promoted up one tier. The Info&Rules section on promotions and demotions details this - but it is unclear what marks the 'double promotion line' and single promotion line' - same for the demotion lines.. My guess would be something like top 10%/ 20% and bottom 20%/10% respectively..

Were the percentages defined somewhere I missed for the double/single promo and demo lines ??

Rule Updates/Tweaks
Tiebreakers: will be lowest R4, R3, R2, R1, H18 countback from R4 (for all events) Percentage based cutlines on Challenge Circuit/Beer League: 60% of field will see the weekend, 40% go home Percentage based promotion/demotion marks: top/bottom 15% get single promotion/demotion marks, top/bottom 7.5% get double promotion/demotion marks **subject to tweaks Make cut to clear 1 demotion mark (if you have one) Miss cut to clear 1 promotion mark (if you have one)

Thank you, I missed that earlier.. I was looking at the main Info&Rules section which defines the promo and demo marks.. Demotions & Promotions +3 Movement Marks (green arrow icon) will automatically promote you one level. -5 Movement Marks (red arrow icon) will automatically demote you one level. Platinum Tour: Can't accrue positive movement marks (promotion marks) All Main Tours (Platinum, Elite, Kinetic, Challenge Circuit) If you have no movement marks: Above double promotion line = +2 movement marks Above single promotion line = +1 movement mark Make cut = clear 1 demotion mark Miss cut = clear 1 promotion mark Below single demotion line = -1 movement mark Below double demotion line = -2 movement marks A withdraw (not completing an event) is -2 movement marks at all levels Fast Track on Challenge Circuit Fast Track promotions are based on a standard deviation formula compared to avg-score of the field. Anyone shooting better than this value will be auto-promoted to the flight above. Fast track promotions are marked on finalized leaderboards with a green lightning icon. So it defines the 'if you have no marks' - but I would assume that if you already have a promo mark - and finish below cutline AND below single/double demo line - you'll actually have a net move of 2 or 3 negative marks - likewise - if you have a demo mark and finish above the cutline AND finish in either double or single promo lines you could have a net gain of 2 or 3 positive promo marks.

Correct - it'll process the cutline logic first and then promo logic 2nd. So you can have as much as 3 mark swings in either direction in certain cases.

We're currently having some registration issues/quirks with the Qualifying Pool. Work in progress but if you are one of our members having issues and not seeing scores - please email commish@tgctours.com so we can track it better - we can't track issues in the forums reliably.
