There was a little added incentive as I teed it up at Recreationale Rouge. Honey Badgers are nothing if not resilient. Nothing like a bit of friendly rivalry to bring the best out of oneself. A clean round with ten birds and an eagle for starters, over to you you mctrees02. After opening with 5 birdies, I was a bit distracted (thanks 15eicheltower9) and played 6-10 in 2 over par before getting everything rolling at the end including a 40’ bomb for eagle on the last. Only a 63 so I’ve got my work cut out to catch up to you now. Whoops. Next time I'll just send a message that says "get in the hole!"

Another sparkling opening round of Even par from me. To be honest it's only because the fairways are so friendly that I was that low. I've lost the inclination to play too many rounds, but at the same time I know that if I don't I've got no chance of making a cut. I've appreciated all the help and encouragement but after this one it might be time for a little break to recharge the batteries. Just not fun at the moment. Nice course though 👍

Good evening C Company.
First tourney with you guys. Must say,I haven’t exactly come up from D and shown I am worthy to be in this league. Awful golf chef, not even sure if I have made the cut . Probably my worst two rounds since Qualifying.
Anyway still enjoyed and looking forward to more battles in the future with you all. Good luck

A week where I had no control over the putter.
Tough greens, nice course. When you can’t hit a putt close to where you’re aiming it, what is the point really?
An epic missed cut. 5 or 6 over thru 36. Lost count.

Well after a -6 R1 including a double bogey on the first par 3. Tried to get cute and cut it around that tree and hit a marvelous fast into the drink. Figured I was on my way to another week of superior mediocrity that is a mid level "cuber" making nothing of his life. Then in round 2 finally showed a little bit of potential to make something of his life. Maybe his kids left him alone, maybe he wants to show his wife he is bettering himself, maybe he was sober, I will leave it up to you to decide. But a dazzling -11 in round two including back to back eagles to close leaving me at -17 through 2. By far the best round I have ever played on these settings.
Can't wait to go back on tonight and shoot even par over the final 36 to sink back into my mediocre hole...stay tuned!

Solid, uneventful -6 in round one. Six birds, five of them on the back nine. (Phew!) Round two tonight if I can stop playing Fishing Planet.

I shot a 69 in the second round which might just avoid the double red mark for the second week running. Love it that when I type 'red' my predictive text comes up with 'fast' as the middle option for my next word! I was going along ok until a horrible 4-putt double at 13. Clinging on by my fingernails. I've dropped all my other rounds now but might still play these again next week. I'm still of the mind not to but it's a habit, what can I do? I think someone needs to start up a TGCT Anonymous.

Was a bit nervous about playing this week after seeing the scores coming in. I’ve been playing well but one thing 2K21 does , I’ve noticed, is strip away any assurance or confidence that the next round will/can be as good as the last. Onward. 4 birdies to start then 1 more to the turn , another birdie on 11 , going well. 14th hole I managed to do that crazy Michael Jackson stance that can only mean a very fast - splash ! “Here we go” I thought. Not at all ,managed to scramble to just a bogey plus another 3 birds(all of the single variety) to finish at -8 - decent ! 2nd round 4birdies & an eagle to the turn , par train through 13 then that f*****g 14 did it again , stayed out the water but inexplicably 3 putted(thanks mainly to a fly wee ghost break)for another bogey. Happy days. Same result as before as another 3 birdies put me on -16 at half way. Rounds 3 & 4 were a joy. No more bogeys & the tempo starting to bed in ,-11 & -13 soon followed for a -40 total and surely the mark I need to move up. For all still to play , GL & enjoy 😁

Round 2 me and the caddie decided to pull out the stops and use the longer bag set. Paid off for a change with no bogeys, 5 birdies and 3 eagles. So into the weekend at -17. Miller Time.

I was E after my first 17 holes after 5 bogies in my first round and two missed birdies from short distance thanks to Xbox Series X glitch. I managed to shoot -11 over the next 19 holes to make the cut. I am not sure how much fun making the cut and finishing 50th every week is, but I will keep grinding. You will be back.

Couldn’t have gotten off to a better start, going birdie-birdie-birdie-eagle. I was 4 inches from an eagle hole out on 1 too. Then I shanked my tee shot into the trees on the right on 5 and bogeyed, then I shanked my tee shot into the water on the left on 6 and bogeyed. Birdied 7, left a 12 foot birdie on 8 short for my first par. Hit well on the back, had 5 birdies, missed 3 birdie putts by inches.
Second round again started with 2 birdies before lipping out a 10 foot birdie on 3. Then left a bunker shot on 4 short of the green and missed the birdie chip by 4 inches. 5 and 6 were an improvement from round 1 though, with a birdie on 5 and nearly an eagle on 6, where I left the putt on the front lip. Good par save on 8 where I was down the hill in the bushes off the tee, then I made a ridiculous 49 footer with a mile of break on 9. Nearly holed out for eagle on 15. Ended up with another 5 birdie back 9 to get to -19 through 2 rounds.
Hit the ball ok in round 3 but putting was a disaster. Was pushing all my putts right. Missed a 4 foot par on 8 and lipped out a 9 foot par on 13. Holes out for eagle on 17 and missed an eagle putt on 18 by 9 inches but a -5 for the round pretty much takes me out of contention.
Fourth round started with 2 more missed birdies, but after birdies on 3 and 4 I had a hole in one on 5. Birdied 6 then missed 11 foot birdies the next 2 holes and a 14 footer on 9, and a 12 footer on 10. Then sank a 34 foot eagle on 11, go figure. Finished with 3 birdies, lipping out a 10 foot eagle on 18, for a -10, -34 for the tournament. So that’s probably around top 20 range I suppose.

Welcome to group C Chef.
Missed my first ever cut. And rightly so poor poor first round. Better dust myself off for next week.
Good luck those finishing the last two rounds off.

Third round in and still no bogeys. Who is that masked man? Get it, covid, mask ... hardee har har. Anyhoo, Happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrate it. I’ll be back after the turkey induced nap for a round four report. Now where are my stretch pants.
Fourth round was an unbelievable one. -15 , which I’ve never been that low before. I’m just flabbergasted.
