Just a crazy couple of rounds to start. +9 for the first. No rhythm, no hope.
Joked with myself that all I had to do was shoot a 5 or 6 under to bring back some respectability, then went and shot a - 7 which is my first under par round this season!
The funny thing is, during the second round, I wasn't concentrating like I normally do. I was so pissed off at that first round, I had no expectation, and so I was just hitting without thinking about it because part of me didn't care. Is there a lesson in there somewhere?

Feeling pretty excited at -5 after 2 rounds! Only one bogey and one double through 2 rounds. Missed some easy birdie putts, but made a good amount of par putts. It’s funny how that works isn’t it?
Is it just me, or does putting seem easier when greens are fast? Less room for error in your stroke when you don’t have to putt it so hard!
Enjoying this course so far, but then again I’ve been lucky and found only one hazard. That will probably change in round 3 and 4. Really beautiful course. Main very minor gripe is a few hazards or trees in middle of fairways. And that the game doesn’t allow for water drops where you’d drop in real golf!

Wow, that’s an amazing turnaround Kevin, congrats In fact I can’t even imagine being able to shoot as many as 7 birdies in a round on that course! You are right - I had the same sort of feeling last week playing so awful for a round and a bit then turned into a birdie machine when I had basically stopped caring Good luck with the last 2 rounds

I'm afraid to play them. Maybe this is as good as it gets!

ok, i was BRUTAL in round one. hit 2 or 3 balls out of bounds. my last practice round was like a -1 or -2, so i was confident. once it got "real" - i was terrible!
the first round 78 put me at +6, with very little chance of making the cut.
but...
i put together a strong round 2 - hit once or two big putts - and put up a -1. that puts me at +5, and JUST on the wrong side of the projected cut line...
so here's my question -
any predictions on my +5? will the cut line move in my favor in the next 24 hours?
thoughts?

Good Lord. A +10 for round three. I'll probably score a - 18 for my final round now. 😅

Well that's that. And after that third round I just couldn't do it. And by do it, I mean play with any integrity. I was mentally shot, so in the final round I just hit the ball wherever and however I wanted - into the water, the rough... even backwards. I was a petulant child. If this was the PGA Tour I'd be breaking my club over my knee, storming off and refusing to do interviews.
Finished up + 36 overall. No idea how I shot that - 7, but I need a stiff drink while I figure it out. And I don't even drink!

Chalk & Cheese.... 1 under for round 1, 8 over for round 2. Challenge Circuit, flight I & we're playing medium to high winds, firm fairways, firm greens & fast putting speed. Cannot wait to fling my PC Master difficulty clubs into the nearest lake & drop into the Beer League on the 13th Nov. Obviously missed the cut by the way

]so here's my question - any predictions on my +5? will the cut line move in my favor in the next 24 hours? thoughts? I think one of the problems with hoping the cut line will go up is that it’s only the Top 60% of players who actually complete both their opening rounds so if someone who is already behind you after one round decides to withdraw before completing 36 holes then that hinders you At least I think that’s how it works Keeping my fingers crossed for you as there are still players who could fall back but think you might just miss out Richard

Well, the cut line, which had been projected throughout at +4, suddenly bumped up to +6 at the end of play, allowing an improbable total of 98 players to go through to the weekend. This is good news for goalie1525 and shows my powers of prediction are about as good as my game!
My luck finally ran out this week- the first three events I had gone two strikes, one strike, zero and making a cut was meant to be the next progression but four-putted the first hole from 6 feet and it all went horribly wrong!
No complaints- you don’t accumulate 5 demotion marks without playing a lot of terrible golf

Finished at -12 and looks like I'll get my first top 20 and first promotion mark ever! Was absolutely on fire the final round with -9 through 14 holes, but stumbled 3 shots in last 4 holes. Don't know what it is about the Swiss and Boreal courses, but I tend to play better on them.
