What a complete nightmare and like you Scott I had a horrendous first round +7 and at one stage I was also +10 but managed a couple of birdies on the back nine. Second round I went even par but again I was +11 going into the last four holes and to be honest I had given up even trying to make the cut as I knew it was virtually impossible especially how I was playing and my timing and feeling had just gone completely but then had two birdies and an eagle on the last to finish up +7 through two. One think I will say and not sure if it’s the same for others but if I have a few days break and don’t play I lose everything that I had and really need a few days practice again to get it back. Oh this game 😬 Hope you guys are doing better and congrats Josia on making the cut 👍 Good luck all! It is the same for me, John! If I take even one day off it seems like it takes me a few days practice again to get it back! As a result I have been trying to at least play one round a day, even if its just the single player tour, just something to keep the muscle memory going.
I'm really glad I made the cut, because in round 3 the clock struck midnight and the carriage turned back to a pumpkin. Nothing felt right. I just could not get a feel for the tempo, or the putts. Since I was doing ok in my warmup round, I am hoping it was all nerves. Since I did so well in Round 2, I was trying too hard to do it again, and overthinking it. I just need to relax! I so agree with relaxing. When I am practicing or trying to get yardage on a new club, when I happen to look at the swing meter, it is almost always perfect straight and on tempo. Argghhh! I did pretty well R3/4 (OK, not super well - +3 and +1 if I remember) - no pressure! Earned two promote marks and earned two demote marks this week (it is looking like). Back to par!

It’s nice to know I’m not the only one that feels this way and needs to continually practise )) I really believe a lot of it is nerves and thinking too much and trying too hard. Look at me sitting at +11 four holes left and four shots over the cut mark and I thought I had no chance so just played out and got those two birdies and an eagle 😄 Maybe that’s the trick and to train your mind to think you have nothing to play for and go out there and relax. Ok I’m waffling here 😄 I’ll try to play my last two rounds over today and tomorrow as Saturday I’m flying back to Moscow and I’ll keep you posted 👍

Well that really was a surprise and last round -4 after my bad start of +7 in round one managed to pull it back to even through four rounds and currently sitting 19th with another promotion mark and that might change but here’s hoping 😊 Good luck anyone left to finish up 👍

Well done John! After my stinker of a third round, I had a rocky start to R4, but then settled in for a nice average round. Not great, but I'll take it.

Cheers Josia! Yes I see you had a better final round and your second best for this week and hopefully you can take this into next week 👍

Grrrr.
I did pretty good on R1. Ended with a +2, but missed two very easy putts so would have been E if not for that. Thought oh well if I can do that again at least I can probably make the cut though, and do better than last match even.
Tonight I played R2. To warm up, as I do often, I played the Kinetic. I did the best round I've done so far, shot -4, warming up on Kinitec's course. So feeling good, I went to our official round, and was still hitting great. Everything was perfect, was sinking putts with ease, and was -1 as I was finishing the front nine.
Then all the sudden, on hole nine, something went amiss. I lost my feeling of tempo, and started trying to get it back and as a result was hitting everything way too slow. Putts started getting off, and I proceeded to bogie or double bogie everything after that.
Went from feeling elated, to probably missing the cut entirely. stoopid game! LOL
I hope you guys do better!

Good first round Josia and such a shame if you miss the cut! I also played a practice round and finished -5 and hit every fairway and just played my first round and can you believe I was all over the shop left and bloody right 😬 Finished -2 but it was a real scramble and birdied and then gave it up with a bogey and the next each time but all in all better than it could of been as I really struggled with my drives off the tee and even approach shots were a bit wild! So strange how a practice round can be so different than playing for real. Good luck everyone else out there playing 👍

Just finished my second round -1 so through two rounds sitting at -3 and coming to the last par 3 I was -3 but found the water with my first slow and got a double bogey 😰 Anyway shouldn’t complain as made the cut and another under par round and hopefully can improve on that in my last two rounds! Good luck all 👍

Par then +2 in R2, so made the cut but definitely left some strokes on the course. I like this course, but man you can get some monster putts (4 putted in R1 on hole 6, a par 3!!!!).

Glad you made the cut and congrats 👍 We’ve both got some work left too move up but it is possible on this course and think we’ve got it in us and just need to keep it together last two rounds and good luck!

I was -1 on R3 (which I have seen several posts about it being the most difficult). Good luck to you, you are currently just off a promotion mark and if your R3 is subpar again, you look to be promoted out of CC-L!

Very respectable round 3 and an under par round is always a good achievement so well done Scott! Yes I’ve been trying not to think too much about where I’m sitting as I’m not good under pressure 😄 The more I can think oh it’s just a game and just have fun the better I do and then you glance at the leaderboard and it all goes pear shape 😂 Hope you can continue to climb on your last round!
