Hi all, I’m a new player on the TGC Tours this year and just wondered if anyone can help me out with a question. How does the cut line work on these events? And when do we know if we’ve made the cut? I managed to qualify for the CC-E tour, looking forward to playing some good courses with some good competition 👍🏻

I managed to qualify for the CC-E tour, looking forward to playing some good courses with some good competition 👍🏻 There's a whole bunch of info here: www.tgctours.com/Home/RulesPolicies#tournament-procedures But the cut is going to happen 4am UTC on Thursday of the tournament week. Top 60% make the cut each week.

Well after playing two solid practice rounds I proceeded to post an uninspiring +3 in round 1. Wind straight in my face hurt. Gonna have to go low in round 2 now.

It is the same as Greenwich time. So 4 AM Thursday UTC is 11 PM Wednesday Eastern (soon to be 10 PM).

THAT is the key now I can do my own math but I could not find WHERE UTC came from. Coordinated Universal Time (which is naturally UTC) which is a time standard used around the world. GMT is actually the name of that time zone in many parts of the world. Even more confusing, the US military calls it Zulu or Z.

Well it's a -25 finish for me. I'd have happily taken that on the first tee in R1, but it's also a little disappointing after a 62 in R2 left me on -16. Was targeting high 20s from there, maybe 30 if things went really well. Approach shot tempo was a big problem in Rs 3&4.
All told, not a bad start to season 7 I guess. Be interesting to see how that shapes up in the final standings......I know it aint a winning score anyway.

I went out for my b-day yesterday and got home a little saucy. I turned on the PC and started playing the event. Proceeded to go +6 through 5 holes, logged off, and watched football. Probably shouldn't put myself in that situation... If you were under par I’d say that’s the TGC Tours version of a John Daly

My enthusiasm for the new season lasted 1 hole. 3 putt from 6 feet for a double on the first. Same old story for me. No matter which version of TGC, its always on the greens where I let myself down. I've never been able to putt in slopey greens.

after my rounds at CC-A i tried to shamefully sneak back into the clubhouse to steal back my scores, and failing that went straight to the beverage stand. woke up today and decided to give the kinetic course a go, perfectly stable tempo the whole round and shot a casual 63 despite a couple of misses on the greens. this game

Hey quick question - no matter what CC we fall in, we simply play the Challenge Circuit Society correct? There isn't separate societies for each cc tour, right?
Thanks!
