-9 E -7 -1
Finished at -17 which was pretty disappointing after the first round. Bit of an indication of the inconsistencies of my game really. Only hit 53% of fairways in regulation for the event which left me too many heavy rough approaches. Putted ok which was good.
Onto next week... Good luck to everyone still left to play

Question- If I'm on the 1st tee of Rd1, but haven't hit a shot yet- is that still 2 red demotions? ETA- Never mind- I see the rules say if you havent hit a single shot- you get a DNP. Teeing off on the 1st tee and not finishing gets you two reds. I'm taking the DNP, give me time to sort out this putting fiasco. Not a bad idea. I’ve got it mostly figured out now as I’ve reverted back to how I putted in ‘19. -21 under for the tournament which I’m extremely happy with as I sit at the cut line at -8 AFter posting a two round -10 for Cow Cup over in Platinum (easily inside their cut line fwiw) on Monday, I went to Elite #1 tee at Ranfurly to continue the mojo... got side tracked and never teed off. 3 practice rounds yesterday at Ranfurly with this new putting tempo and I couldn't figure out the short putts... not the best course for a mid week HB putting tempo change- with all those side hill 3- 6 footers. Long term- I agree about '19 putting technique- Off to the practice green to bang out a few hundred short putts to undo this 2k21 putting mess.

Try changing the camera angle on short puts, it helped me 👍🏻

Everybody below the cut who has played one round has also played their second round. -7 sits at 65th place right now... Will somebody sneak in during the last hour or two and break the hearts of all those at -7? yes...

I had issues with 3rd round putting too. It seemed like the backswing was faster than it had been before. Threw me off on a lot of putts. Tempo off the tee was bad too, just not a good round and ended up +1. Hopefully I can salvage a good round 4.

Started round 3 with a double bogey on the 2nd hole after 5 putting. Proceeded to make 8 birdies after that for a respectable -6 in tough conditions. A -6 that easily could and should have been -8 or -9. Oh well. Started practicing round four and found myself hitting everything and was -7 after 9 and quit cause i'll never get close to that in tournament so I didn't want to get discouraged. Putting is still a chore!
EDIT -- Finished 4th round a sad -2. I played very well, many shots within 10-15 feet but the holes were on mountains and my putter just failed me. Lipped out at least 7 putts I can remember including 2 eagles.
Still happy to finish and make the cut. Gotta figure out putting again after the changes. GL all.

Considering you weren’t even sure if you’d be able to tee it up this week because of surgery I’d say that’s well done.. after the putting switch I’m pretty lost, but happy to have made the cut week one. Onwards & Upwards! GL to all the people who’ve got a shot at winning going into R4

Onwards & Upwards! GL to all the people who’ve got a shot at winning going into R4 Yeah the eye is getting better with the new lens in there, but it is really funky seeing a corrected 20/20 in one eye with a glasses lens and 20/40 in the other eye with no glasses lens. It is like two different resolutions competing at once. Gotta deal with this for 4 more weeks then I can get the other eye done.
In the mean time eye strain is a thing and depth perception is a challenge. Probably another reason why I think what is a 9 foot putt is really a 3 foot putt. Like you i'm still figuring out the new putting. I haven't blown so many putts past the hole since we started this game back in August.

A FOUR PUTT from 13 feet on hole 2 in the 3rd round is going to cost me the win. Geez! Good playing this week fellas! Way to kick off the new season, good luck to everyone!

I predict the winning score will not reach -40. Feel free to prove me wrong though boys Well I may have missed the cut, but I did at least nail one thing this week with the prediction. Fun and interesting to see the scores come in (including my own disappointment) on a course toddfather and I thought would be on the easier side. I personally would love to see the winning scores stay between -25 and -35 all season, but I think you guys will go plenty low next week on the RCR we chose.

Looking forward to Peninsula Kingswood next week. A course that is about 30 mins from my place and an amazing track. The RCR is fantastic as well.

So great to see all these PS4 wannabe's getting their butts kicked. Some WGR high ranks don't even make the cut!! One is rank 10 and can't even make the cut in Kinetic!! LOL what's the matter? Can't play golf without your massive masters club tempo advantage?? Oh too bad! hahaha

Welcome everyone to the new season of the Elite Tour. I'll be alongside your captain toddfather helping to schedule this season. We have reached our cruising altitude after the qualifying event. If you look out the left side of your window you will see the carnage left behind of thousands of golfers who did not reach this level. And out the window to our right is our first course of the season, Ranfurly by Energ1ser This course made a run in the CC contest recently, and we felt it would be a fair test to get everyone into the new season. The course is all right in front of you. No tricks. Nothing over the top. A nice start to ease everyone in as we still adjust to the new game. I fired up my first round tonight and it was a very 2k21 round. Plenty of scoring, but plenty of dumb mistakes that led to a very colorful scorecard. More circles and squares than pars. Good luck everyone! Hey man can you tell me who the scheduler for pga is and can you look into copperhill lake cc for a possible event because I think it’s suitable to the two top tours in the game

Was about to play my last 2 rounds right now and I guess I missed the end of the tourney by 3 hours I think. I knew I was cutting it close, but an end time of 5 PST on Saturday seems a little early. Anyways, does not playing R3 & 4 earn me demotion mark(s)? I hope not, but still bummed because I think I could have shot -10 for the next two rounds to get a promotion mark.
