I was a great player in 19....borderline KFT skill level.
I am an absolute disaster in 2k21. To the point I don’t want to play anymore. Shot +56 in qualifying and I missed 11 greens. Insane.
Any help?

Turn the vibration feedback on and pull the slick back very slowly.
Vibration indicates when to push forward for intended distance.
You can turn it off once you get a feel for distances on different green speeds.
There's a couple good youtube videos for the math of the putting of you're having issuesnwith that aspect

When I found out the backswing has no impact on the swing rhythm it was a game changer. I still can’t putt though

Use a variety of Avatar points of reference for different %'s. Also keep in mind that the speed at which you draw back the putter has an impact on distance. If it took you an imaginary 10seconds to draw the putter head back 1/2 an inch, lets say that would net you 27%. Re-hit your shot but this time take 5seconds to draw the putter head back the same 1/2 inch and your putt would now travel 33%. Keep in mind were talking small %'s here so things will only get worse with longer putts.

Putting is only thing I'm decent at.
Tee to green I'm a mess.
Xbox user who is realising it's not a game for this console.

I was on the verge of bailing on this game also after Q1... I'm mostly fine inside 25', outside of 25' things get ugly quickly.
To eliminate putts blowing all over the green I came up with a new putting technique- I go to worm eye camera view, if you pull back slowly until you can see the ball results in a 45-50% putt- which seems to be the sweet spot for 30-50' putts. One 3 putt at Evangelist- and my distance control was infinitely better. I'm at least off the cliff ledge for now.

It’s taken me over a month of playing everyday to just now make a few more putts a round then when I started. You need to get to the level where you “feel” every putt instead of analyzing beads or grids or whatever. I’m pretty good myself at this game and still I’m nowhere near my putting in 19. It just takes time.

Putting just seemingly changed for me for no reason also. I just finished a Beer League tournament at +31 mainly because the putting animation was changed with the latest update. Without the putter following through automatically I no longer know how hard I am going to hit the putt even with stopping at the vibration.

I also was where you are. I use Avatar movement locations for approx distances. Ex. Glove hand appears, 8’, left forearm, 11’, mid left forearm, etc. Not perfect or exact, but it works for me. Go to the practice green and putt to a distances you want to practice and turn on auto mulligan. You can then putt over and over. Good luck!

Not sure I am understanding exactly what you mean by glove hand? Are you saying when you pull back and you see that is when you should stop with the back swing?

I actually went back into the settings and put them all on the easiest as possible. When I went back into qualifying under the TGC settings, it was much more similar to 19 where i could time it up, I had the feel where I could count to 8 for 80' putt, 2 for 20', etc etc. Phew. Not all the way there yet but close!

It seems the breaks affect the ball much more in this game too.

Is that a setting once inside the practice area? I only have seen it in the practice area for putting and chipping. You get to it the same way you get to difficulty and other settings.
