Take a look at the amazing career (so far) of Aussie PS4 player Mr Franz Joop aka Das2Birdie4You
He finished January Q-School +152 (One hundred and fifty two over par) for the gruelling 6 course marathon!!!
Undeterred, he made his début tournament on the original Champions Tour playing The Dasani Desert Challenge at Powderfinger GC & clocked a +46 through 72 holes & last place.
Determined to do better it was onto the Allianz Championship at Deliverance GC where he makes good improvement to hand in +28 whilst almost making the top 150.
Then: <<<BOOM>>> something suddenly clicks during the Ace Group Classic at Springbrook Valley as he finishes -38 & tied for 6th place.... What a fantastic leap!!
Spurred on by this & the new flights system he plays his 1st Champions (B) tournament at the very tough Bushtail Valley Open recording a +6 but surprising outright 7th place finish.
Onto the Toshiba Classic hosted by the Rhino Ridge Estate venue.... & Q-School is just a distant memory for Franz as he collects the winners trophy & purse with an 11 stroke lead of 34 under par.
Sponsors exemption tucked under his belt he continues on the Champions (B) flight at the Wine Country Championship held at Scarpacci Vineyards... Where, yes, you guessed it - back to back wins ensue. This time with a 9 stroke advantage & 44 under par card..... Simply amazing.
Time to play the exemption card and he tips up at the Champions (A) Mississippi Gulf Resort Classic held on the Thompson Fields course.... Go check it out - you'll find our hero sitting proudly at the top of the leader board after 2 rounds with a 3 stroke lead* & odds on to make it a triple trophy tourney take down.*
