I haven’t done any extensive testing yet but I went on the range at one point and hit 10 perfect drives in a row something that wasn’t possible at 30Hz I just need to do the range thing again but hit 100 balls then work out the percentages of each type of shot hit. Similar experience here less, I went straight to the practice range when I first fired up 2K21 on my Series X and recalibrated my swing. After doing so, I hit 8 out of 10 drives in the "Perfect" tempo window on the scale. Prior to that, my average would be 3 or 4 out of 10 drives in that window. Your idea of hitting a 100 balls on the practice range would ultimately lead to a more grooved feel, I have no doubt. I just don't have the discipline to do it When the game was first released I did that twice, once before calibration and once after to see what effect calibration had.

There are definite improvements with SX & 60fps but there is still weird stuff that goes on: - certain course conditions (usually some combination of crowds, waterfalls & high winds) shifts the Perfect spot and making Slows more frequent; - Slows are not calibrating right - I can feel when I've gone slightly slower but the outcome is often Very Slow - Partial pitches are a joke - when does a 90% swing only go 50% carry distance?
Hopefully these are similar on the other platforms so at least it is a more even playing field.

While the SX + 60fps has made massive strides, for whatever reason I still believe the game is easier on PS4. Personally believe it all hinges around tempo, but I've never played on the PS4 so can't be sure. For the pitches, that's a thing that I think is consistent across systems though. The pitch swing meter is essentially on a exponential scale.

Wondering if anyone can substantiate that?

I can usually reconcile both my slows and fasts with what I've felt. I do still occasionally get an inexplicable very fast, but not as often as I did before the 60 Hz vsync update. Partial pitches are still on my "Don't Attempt" list. The results often aren't backed up by terrestrial physics. I'll dial them up until I can hit one full, but I'll go with a partial normal shot or a splash shot before I'll attempt a partial pitch. I don't even like the feel of a partial pitch in this game; it just feels wonky!

Alright so my PS5 game in. Still waiting on the series X. Tempo wise I do find it a bit easier than OG xbox but definitely not easy. I think that is due to more polling points on the new controller and how well the game runs.
Iam struggling mightly to keep my swing line straight especially on putts. I can hit dead straight on xbox.
I think with the next gens the console gap has definitely evened up but I'll report back once I give it a go on the Series X.

The way the Series X feels for me I can't imagine it being any different on PS5. Pure as. Miles ahead of the XB1. I remember hearing a few PS guys who upgraded to next gen saying the PS5 was tougher but felt more clean and pure.

I don't read a whole lot from PS5 owner's experience with this game concerning the addition of the 60 Hz vsync option. I think there's something to your theory about the additional polling points on the PS5 controller. I'm sure though that you can tell a huge difference in the responsiveness of the swing animation to your stick movement, when you're on the PS5? It' will be very interesting to read your thoughts on this once you've tried the game on the Series X, with your PS5 experience under your belt!

Since this is an Xbox only thread I thought I would shamelessly plug an Xbox only society called "Race to 2k" Bring a team of 4 and compete. Don't have enough for a team? There are others in the same boat and we can group you in a team. Click the link to see more! Race to 2k
Thanks and hope to see you there!

I cannot for the life of hit a straight line on putts or shots consistently like I can on xbox. I like the feel of the xbox controller better. The PS sticks feel very light.

Update after two more days. I'm hitting 90 percent of my shots perfect and now every thing swing plane wise is dead straight.
Can't wait to get a good comparison vs consoles. The game runs so we'll on next gen that it isn't a chore to play anymore. Calibration actually works the way it was intended. Just have to get my putting reads sorted out with the 60 fps and new hardware and I'll be up on the pro tours in a few weeks!
I can definitely tell the sticks are shorter on playstation back swing to downswing, that's where my putt timing is off a bit off I think.
Really excited for the next gen golf games!

Anyone played Nonotempo? Experienced a lot of stutter on this course whilst panning with camera and post shot in ball flight. Haven’t experienced this since playing Lost Preserve at 30fps. Keen to hear if others have observed the same. No real issues with any other courses since switching to 60fps. Tempo wasn’t great and I believe linked to the stuttering.
