The new version seems so much harder to me, as a previous low CC player from 2019. I calculated a +20 in the first tourney would be safe, so that was my target. I finished Whiskey at +17. Based on the current trend in the leaderboard, It looks like my score doesn’t make the cut. I tried the next course and +40 seems likely, as I find it much more difficult. Anyone else surprised at the way things seem to be trending? Do you think lots of new players have entered TGCTours, and scoring better than many that played in 2019? For me, I haven’t found excessive practice making much of a difference with maintaining anything close to a consistent tempo, weird shots just seem to happen that ruin my scoring. I’m still completely lost trying to calibrate distance on pitch shots, most of the time they go much farther than my calculation would suggest. I just hope I have some motivation to play next week, if the leaderboard shows I would need to shoot some unattainable score to qualify.

No details, but Doyley mentioned that adding to the 1450 players seems likely. How many players and additional CC tours remains to be announced.

The number of players who have started Qualifying has far exceeded expectations, so that's the primary reason 1450th place is close to E while expectations were that +5 per round would be near the cut.
So far, 2545 players have completed at least one round. That's many more than expected. With that many, the line is drawn at +6 through two rounds. There are 3500 registrants now. If they all play, then the cut line looks like its going to be around +3 through 4 rounds.
These things are hard to predict because we don't know the number of players, and we don't know how scoring on the next course will compare to the scoring this week.
Personally, I'm at -6 through 4 and all my rounds at Evangelist have been between E and -2. I think the course is more challenging, but I'm also a better player than I was a week ago. I wonder how many players can say the same thing.

It is looking like +10 at Whiskey after 4 rounds and by practicing Evangelist few times +20 for a total of +30 for a CC-G tour card. Definitely need to practice courses more on this version compared to 2019 so know where not to put ball if miss tempo. I would guess Evangelist is 2 shots tougher per round then Whiskey course.
