Welp, took a 9 on #14 in R2 after it said I was OOB twice, only my ball was in the fairway inside of the staked OOB area. I know OOB is tough to lay down but that took the wind out of the sails of an otherwise solid round.

That’s what has me worried, not being able to see the ball... so I think the ball physics thinks it is UNDER the boards. I’m very worried it will hit the board after I hit it and go back into the water

Yeah... update... It did not come out... I hit it... it hit the board... I’m still under the board... I hate this game... I hate retaining walls... I hate everything... I actually managed to thread the needle on shot 9... it came out of the crack, got to the edge of the green, and rolled right back down underneath the retaining wall and BACK THROUGH THE SAME HOLE... I am about to get a 12 because I am now out of options because HB allows a ball to go under a board but not come back out. Goodbye platinum.
Went from -7 on the tourney to even on one hole. Back to -27 total for qualifying because that’s what I shot at Whiskey Dunes.
Going to need to take a big breather after that one. May finish my other two rounds as late as possible on Saturday... Don’t feel bad anyone who chimed in here before I hit. I asked several people if it would work and they all said go for it. Lesson learned. Elite was always the goal and is still within my sights.
edit: I stupidly finished the round before quitting for the night and went bogey bogey. So +2 for the tourney. -25 through 6 rounds.
Should have parried... I jabbed... But yeah... going to be a while before I finish my tourney, but at least I know that it will be my last two rounds ever on this course

I'm so sorry bro. I should have voiced my gut feeling and said to not hit it. But I didn't want to make the decision for you, just feed you intel

Only played 8 holes in the second round so far before I ran out of time, decided to end on a positive note after birdieing the 8th. Brought myself down one stroke to +2 overall. Messed that up, total overall is -1, and +2 for this tournament. I was looking at the in game score thing. Probably won't play the rest of the round until tomorrow unless the Mrs falls asleep on the couch tonight 🤣 Could have scored a bit better if it wasn't for missing a couple of short putts by pushing the stick off line.

First round played at Evangelist and it felt really good to hit a perfect and land on a fairway that is actually a fairway and not the lay-lottery mess at Whiskey. I still find extreme lays much more difficult to correct than wind and rough penalties. The negative point about these more average fairways are the 270-290 bunkers placed all around. I managed to avoid most, but it is a quite cheap design trick, not necessary. I didnt notice that OB at 14, but now that many are reporting it, I will keep an eye on it. Thanks for warning!

I struggled a bit in the first round - just really didn't give myself any opportunities. Bad swings put me in bunkers or down runoffs or on tough parts of the greens. No huge mistakes, but had to do a lot of scrambling. Played better in the second round, and really got things going on the front 9 of the third round, and then rode the par train for awhile. Fourth round: disaster. My swing went to hell. I usually don't have much of a problem with swing plane, but I was all over the place. Pushes to the right, pulls to the left. I left three or four putts woefully short with tentative strokes. Undid all the good I did in R3.
-2, -4, -6, +6 for -6 total in week 2. Combined with my -6 last week, that puts me at -12 through 8 rounds.

It would have been a bit like that uncomfortable laugh you get when you see someone get hit plum in the knackers.

Round 1 in the books with a -4 66.
Played really well tee to green and probably hit the most perfect’s I’ve ever hit in a round so far with the new game. Unfortunately my putting was the opposite. Left myself so many makable putts only to miss. Would have been an 8 or 9 under if I took some chances.
Aim for the 8 rounds was -30 so at -22 with 3 to play we are within reach but who knows.
Just want to thank Eric and Jeremy for the course. While not exactly to my taste it does make you think about every shot and tests every part of your game. Good luck to everyone still left to play.

-4,-3, +2, +2 Was pretty happy with my first 2 rounds and was -5 through 11 in round 3. The I hit 12. Laid up...fast....water. pitch shot into green...fast...water. Repeat one more time for a 10 on the hole. Couldn't recover after that. That one hole cost me a few hundred places pretty easy. -21 total through 8 rounds. Extremely disappointing as my goal was at least -30. Going to most likely be in Kinetic/CC A or B but I think the quest to move up will be more fun then getting cut from the top tour every week. I played real well in 2k19 Q school and then couldn’t content week to week from there. Fell to Euro. Should have fallen to KF but always erased my X’s just before falling. I haven’t played this week’s event yet, but I’m just going in thinking why not start on CCs and see if I can actually compete for once.

Coruler, you’ve just described my 2K19 exactly & my thinking for this version. Some comfort at least that my struggles are mirrored elsewhere.

I had a best ever score of 63 on the first round followed by a 69 for -8 after 2. Somehow I managed to avoid blow-up holes in both rounds, which is progress.
I've probably over-practised this course but I'm now hitting a consistent tee shot even with the 295 driver which has helped tremendously. My irons are still like throwing darts with a blindfold on but that's mainly because I overswing on nearly every shot, something to work on. if I can finish the last two rounds in the region of par or slightly over I'll be very satisfied.

Like a Manchester United signing I promised a lot and delivered little. Should’ve made Elite, could’ve made Platinum, will probably make CCA. -35 for the 8 rounds, -24 followed by -11.
Looking forward to the season getting started

Just something about this new version that is really not very fun to me. I’m really not sure if I will make it long term. Tee to green I do OK but the putting is terrible. Add it all up and I feel like I should be paid to play this. Seems the only option is to turn on the haptic feedback and count clicks. I prefer to play by feel but the putting is numb. Good luck!

Played my rounds.
Overall pretty meh, I probably won't be in the top 25 for the event but I guess this is more of a binary thing of "am I in the top 150 or not" and from that perspective I will be fine.
I couldn't putt right on the 144s because I hadn't played 144s for a few weeks, and opted not to practice. I mostly played really well in the second round, the third round I struck it Ok but I screwed up the short par 4 and had some putting tempo disasters which is really unlike me, I take a lot of pride in having the putting mechanic down and two putting almost everything at worst since so many struggle.
4th round I was on fire until the baby woke up with five holes to play and basically lost my touch and parred in.
