Well after going -8 in R1 I went -1 in R2, -2 in R3, and finished strong with a -6 in R4. Finished -17 for the tourney and currently in 6th place (PC) but I doubt that will hold up.
Overall I'm -19 for the Qualifier, so that would put me in Kinetic if the event ended today. Pretty thrilled with how I did in the qualifier seeing as how a month ago I could barely play on Pro settings- Master seemed like an impossible hill to climb.

Whew.... nerve wracking as crap but finished my first Quali round at Evangelist. +1 - 71. I’ll take it as I shot total of + 18 during the first four at Whiskey. Good start for someone of my skills. Just trying. To stay in the hunt for the last Challenge Circuit. Having fun, improving. Love the whole thought of this experience.

Wow. Never been so happy in my life to get off of a golf course than I was in this event. Couldn't be more disappointed that this course will the be one that determines the placement for this season. So many goofy holes that just destroy your entire event in one swing. Fairways that run into retaining wall guaranteeing a water ball even after you land on the green and it just barely rolls off. OB right next to a green that again screws you after your ball just barely rolls off. Bunkers every single hole right at 290 in a 25 yard wide fairway on a 470+ yard par 4 over and over again. Jesus. Why not just add some wind mills that you have to hook it around and into the clowns mouth. Just felt like top golf meets mini golf for 4 rounds. I have never tried to play so fast in my life after getting screwed for like the 9th time on this course. I knew it was coming, played all the practice rounds and still just couldn't avoid some of these traps. Hopefully my rage playing rounds 2-4 will get me off the tours and give me a reason to give this game up and find a new hobby. Couldn’t agree more. Although my thoughts are a bit more salty if you ever pick Evangelist for Heaven and Hell @spartan4knight I will personally hunt you down

So was intending to play all 4 rounds but was getting too worked up that I need to step away because....
Round 1 started UNbelievable (3 opening birdies, an eagle on 5) and made the turn at -3. Inward I was too cautious IMO, had a couple of bogeys and finished -1.
Round 2 was rough, including a FUGLY 7 on the par 3 3rd. Turned at +5. The back nine was a roller coaster of emotions (clutch par saves, narrow misses to drop shots) all to card a level back to finish the round +5.
Through 6 rounds I'm standing -8 and need to back away. Just to breath.
Onward.

And I'm done. Round 3 the putter just stopped again. Everything on the edge, at least five birdies missed that way and 2 really stupid shots. -3. Last round things felt really good, making birdies, just one bogey, then hit 14. Just missed the landing area and the ball rolled down the hill to the right, never even made it to the rough but still OB. Very unfair. Double there ... -5 in that round.
Overall after opening with a -9, I can only finish -12. Hopefully enough for Elite, if not I'll be working from the Kinetic. OKay surgery this week. Good luck all.

I officially can't play this game!
I'd love to see my stats on perfect timing as I reckon it below 5%.
Coming into the 2nd event with +6 I wanted to try and keep a tidy event, unfortnately I was in the water far far too much. Finished a miserable +23 (I think) so back to Q School next week!
Going into event 1 I would have said putting was my weakest part of the game, now I'd say its my approach play to the green.
What are the best clubs for someone who has no ability to control the tempo as I clearly need them!?

-11 -8 -10 -12 -9 -5 -7 -9 for -71 total.
I’ll take -30 for Week 2 as I never got on with the course in practice - just wanted to make top 150 which I will with that score so all good.

This is a great course and I will fight anyone who says otherwise. A proper strategic test.
E for Rd1, played beautifully tee to green, 88.89% greens in reg, proximity to the hole 22 ft. Probably my best so far on this new game.
Took 36 putts !!! No matter what I do, change camera, haptic on or off, 10 practice swings or no practice swings. It just seems that the margin for hitting it 8ft short or 8ft past on a 20 ft putt is tiny for me.
Gamebreaking stuff.

Played all 4 rounds this afternoon.. I was sitting at -10 after Whiskey so my goal was -5 this week.. I was able to put together -14 at Evangelist which I am very pleased with.. I did not practice well on this course.. I managed to work my way around with only one double bogey for all 4 rounds.. I got lucky a few spots though.. Blasted out of a trap heading toward the drink and my ball had just enough grip to stop from going in.. Splashed up and saved par.. -24 total for qualifying.. Good luck to everyone this week.. See you on tour !!!

Just call me Mr Tilt.
Sitting on -18 overall with 3 rounds to play, I was hoping to get to -30 or so. Well, that wont be happening now after a R2 +12 (82).
It was the 6th hole that got me. In the drink twice off the tee, I took a 10. As it happens, it was also this hole where I found the water off the tee in the first round too. "Oh that was slow was it? Hhmm...ok". Raged thru from there on. Probably because I missed a winning opportunity up IRL today too haha!

Finished at -62 for the 8 it might be enough. Had -11 in r1 and hit it dog meat. R2 i had a shot end in the rough nowhere near the water and it put me 85 yards over the other side of a pond. Got up and down for par but speed golfed thru with little to no interest. Im losing the will to play this game already and weve only just started. Swing it bad to score good is just as backward as the last game. I still cant fathom how you can get a slight grey fast go 12 yrds long left if aiming straight and you can aim it 20 boxes right and blast a red fast and have more control. Game is @!$#ing broke. I just dont get any enjoyment playing the fast. Its feels like gaming the system. Since when can fully lofting both sticks penalise a perfect tempo swing but makes no difference if you hit a red fast. Ive had a play with the fasts but really hate having to swing it bad to score good. Good course selection and good luck all left to play. It’s hard to fathom how the creators weren’t aware of this and why something wasn’t done about it. I took me about 2 rounds to realise that fast downswings was the only way to produce consistent results, surely they were aware of it??

I think the goal was to create a tempo which was hard to hit perfect on master and legend as they kept telling us it was hard before the game came out. I don’t think they factored in people playing for the fast on purpose, probably the same on them not expecting super lofting in TGC1.

Might be better for you and the forums to find something that doesn't make you increasingly unhappy.

I've turned putt preview unlimited on for practice to make sure I'm making good reads and I'm pretty happy with how that looks, but man, distance control on intermediate putts is completely unpredictable, turning what should be gimmie 2 putts into 3+putt nightmares way too often. Seems like I'm as likely to get it within 4 feet from 50 feet away as I am from 15-20 feet away.

Well well well, started round R1 with a -7
Played a practise round and found tempo to be good, though only was around Even par, thought I'll do one round before bed.
Then I go hit my best round! One bogie, so 8 birdies in total. Very little wind and I've heard this is the round to score well.
So -29 after 5 rounds on xbox. Gotta keep this up.
