Let me say, this operation is great. I played for about 1.5 years now. The new game has beat me. I stand +42 after playing both qualifiers. It’s what I expected based on my practice rounds. Hoped +40 range would make it somewhere, but lots of good play here. Best to leave it alone for awhile and see how things shake out, and look for other ways to enjoy the game.

That absolutely blows. Anyone with a tip to help him get out of this with minimal damage? Won't even let me skip hole and take a 9 I believe.. I'm just stuck Someone said they had success restarting or rebooting?

Well I was -11 after whiskey dunes, felt ok about it. Played first two rounds of second week and was sitting at -20 overall.. Feeling good First tee shot of third round goes in water and now I'm stuck with the dreaded water drop freeze. All that hard work might be for nothing. I can't believe this I am concerned that this bug in the game will cost a lot of people, and that is VERY unfortunate and not really fair to be honest. This is not a problem with this particular course, it can happen on any course, but basically what it is is the game allows a drop on the inside edge of the penalty area where it shows you can drop, but then if you do, it's basically immediately right back in the water and you're screwed. At that point, you can't even declare an unplayable because the previous spot is the SAME spot. My best advice (although too late for this gentleman) is to NEVER trust a drop option from the game if it is a tiny little area of clear right before the water's edge. This will happen more times than not. I was finally able to back out and re-drop multiple times, after backing out and in multiple times. It only let me drop basically in the water and every shot would stay in the water.I finally was able to reach the shot limit and move on. Very disappointing. What should have been a easy bogey or double bogey turned into a 10 I think.

H to L. Tour card number was a wild guess! Guessed 450 Pro pus 150 x 10 CC. There's your mistake. A-L is 12 flights of CC, so add another 300. My bad.

Based on the scores, I don’t think mayday_golf83 and I will be getting as much hate mail as I thought. People shooting 56s on this course pretty much proves that it’s not unfair in any way if you’re making the right choices, and the field average seems to be lower at this point too. For those unaware, the design of this course is an homage to template holes, so you will see designs out there a little different than most (hole 8 anyone?). Just keep that in mind when you get mad and call it an awful design, because you might as well do your research and point the finger toward someone else. 😉 Good luck out there! I’ll be playing my rounds live on Twitch tomorrow (Monday) around 4pm ET if you want to laugh at the struggles of the co-designer. twitch.tv/VctryLnSprts I really liked the multiple tee set combo. It added a dimension of variety that we've never had the ability to enjoy. Playing par3s completely different, certain holes becoming driveable, par5s more or less reachable in 2. Although the mid 50s scores are a product of the conditions being a little too tame. Any amount of wind and firmness makes some of the greens harder to hold on the proper tiers. If you're in control of your swing (distance and direction), then it's pretty easy to break -10 in R1.

I was +2 after Whiskey and feeling confident.
Finished up Evangelist with -1/+4/+4/+2. +9 for Week 2. +11 overall after 8 rounds.
Had some major blow up holes that ruined my excellent putting. Hard to even get on the green...

I’ll be playing my rounds live on Twitch tomorrow (Monday) around 4pm ET if you want to laugh at the struggles of the co-designer. twitch.tv/VctryLnSprts Rounds 1 & 3, in theory, should be the easiest setups you get. You've just gotta play smart. Could have easily started -6 or-7 thru 7 R1 had I made some routine putts. 63 was good, but that could have been a special round. Two poor swings on 6 led to a double in R2. Made a quad on 14 R3, but not how you'd think I would ... got greedy, trying to clear the cross bunkers and put two in the drink. Should have laid back. Bogey-free 64 R4 is, by far, the best tourney round I've played to date. Left a couple out there, but to make it through R4 unscathed overall is a hell of an accomplishment. Overall: 23 birdies, 2 bogeys, 1 double, 1 quad. Scores are out there, just comes down to course management and execution.

I'm admittedly salty after a sh%$ opening round but I dunno about this course man. Just absurd slopes into the water penalising good shots and little pothole bunkers in landing areas. Seems kinda tricked up and unoriginal just for the sake of being "hard." Oh well. Onward.

Well I’m lost for words and after my disastrous hangover on whisky getting +8,+8,+8,+10 I just finish my first round on Evangelist +2. I know for many this is nothing but after struggling so much on master settings things started to fall in place a bit and birdied one and bogied three and could of had a few more birdies really. Maybe it was a flash in the pan and only time will tell but at least that finally gave me a little hope that I can still play after a year off 😄

The Evangelist is very much a 'course management' course. If you play smart, you can keep it in the fairways most of the time by simply picking a 3 or 5 wood. The trade off is a longer 2nd shot of course, but if it is between that and a water ball, I take the longer shot all day. Practicing round 3 there are two driveable par 4s and you really have to hit a perfect drive to get a chance for eagle. Round one was definitely the round to shoot low. I left several out there and I scored -9, easily could have gone 4-5 shots lower as I just missed 2 eagle putts and got greedy one one hole that put me in the water. My second round tho is going to hurt me and unless I play lights out, I will not make the top tour, which is fine. My goal was one of the top 3.
Where whiskey was just tough at times, i think Evangelist will be an equalizer because it requires you to play smart at all times. There are very few places you can get away with a really bad shot, unlike Whiskey which had several bail out areas off the fairway. Get get in the top tour you needed to average -6.3 through the first four rounds. I think the second four the average is going to be closer to -5.5 or less.
My prediction. -46 gets in top 150.

So I just finished my fourth and final round of Q-school, and all I can say is that if I had an actual putter in my hand I would smash it to pieces right now. I had played the first six holes of the final round, sitting at -5 for the tournament (which I was really satisfied with) when I had to take a break for dinner. Came back an hour later and completely f***ed it all up instantly with a quad bogey, and then dropped four more shots on my way in for a final score of +3. Both weeks combined I will end up on even par. Seems to be good enoungh for a card so I shouldn't complain too much, but nevertheless I will still hate myself over the next few days for that godawful finish 🤣
