Does anyone have any tips for getting better looking smoother fairways and greens? I smooth the spline path and delete and redraw multiple times to try to get it right. Obviously practice is important but any other tips would be greatly appreciated.

Place spline points no further than 5 yards apart.

I like to use measure tools to "spline" a fairway and green before I put the spline down, so then all I have to do is follow the lines that I make. Remember though that splines have a set width so I like to do the splines 3 yards inside of the measure tool spline so it ends up the same width.

Go to edit spline point and you can adjust the width. I find going wider helps to keep the splines smoother. I set mine at 3.0.

Honestly, it doesn’t matter that much. Pay most attention to how it looks when you’re playing and provided it’s not really harsh, the perfect curve vs slightly off isn’t at all noticeable from the golfer’s view. Plus, splines are acting weirdly in this game so you can’t get it perfectly curved easily anyway. There are far better things to spend your time perfecting.
Main thing is looking at real life courses (Google Earth is perfect for this) to get a sense of what fairways actually look like - there’s a lot more straight lines than you’d think.

Yes I am aware, I meant that they are never 0 width so when using my method you must always keep them within the measure tools line. I set mine at 3.0 as well, which is what I meant by "I like to do the splines 3 yards inside of the measure tool"
