Yes I am referring to power meters. It tells me I'm never making a cut in TGC ever again. Keep on plugging away mate and you'll improve. I found changing the camera angle on short puts helped massively with distance control, and i aim for the far right of the fairway to compensate for my fast swing.

Thanks. Apologies in advance if these are dumb questions, but... Is the decision to go Main or ProAm tour fixed for the season? For instance, if someone is struggling to get anywhere near Qualifying for the main tours via the weekly events, can they then drop into ProAm? Conversely if already in ProAm, can someone still enter weekly Qualifying events? If it is fixed for the season, how long is a season? Not fixed - if it becomes exploited we'll likely have to code in a cool-down period - but out of the gate, you can opt-in and out as you see fit.
You can't be in both ProAm and the Qualifying Pool at the same - so that's a no to being in ProAm and entering Qualifying events

Previously I thought the reason you couldn't do both was because the beginner tour ran in the cc am society. With the pro am being in its own society now I'm curious to the reason it can't be done like the true sim tour allowing people to play both?

Mainly due to the fact if we opened it up - it would have 1000+ people in it and that's not much fun for anyone.

Excited to get back into this and feel the frustration, though I'm sure that my account is absolutely considered inactive at this point. I legitimately don't know how it's been 4+ years. Glad to see the 75 ft guideline for putting, because there really does become a point in the putting system that it simply makes no sense to putt -- especially without a meter (when a "2%" difference in that range can result in a *massive* short/off the green putt, you've gone ahead and made putting much harder than it would be in real life). Yeah, I'll certainly get more consistent after playing for a while, but at those distances you're really just hoping you don't get a frame skip during the entirety of the putt, otherwise sucks to be you.

I get the feeling we are going to have 40 people after 8 rounds at like -50 to -80 then the next hundred or so will be in the -20s and the next hundred 0 to -19 then like 1500 over par all grouped up. I can't help but feel for the people who barely make the Platinum tour with no chance of winning but are simply too good for the tour below because of the discrepancy. I guess we'll see how it ferries out. This situation has existed since forever. Seems like 2K21’s swing and mechanic “inconsistencies” might change leaderboard dynamics by creating larger dispersions between rounds for all players.

Haven’t seen this anywhere, but is any action required by existing TGCT members to opt into Q school or declare our intentions for this season?
There are mentions of registration opening and opting in, so just curious what’s required of a player before teeing off in the qualifying event.

Will the course conditions for qualifying be made available?
Thank you to everyone who has set this up. What a great place this is, even if I’m headed for +100

From the shoutbox: "Doyley: there will be a signup - you need to choose between main tours (Qualifying Event) or ProAm - those will be available next Saturday"

Seeing that the plan is to have 150 players in each of the pro tours, I'm curious what the test event data showed regarding scores? Are there 450 players shooting under par, or is it possible "+" scores could find their way to a pro tour?

Links/info will be available Saturday and open the entire week - still some testing to do this week so we couldn't open it early.

What a great place this is, even if I’m headed for +100 I'll try to have a weather report posted prior to the event starting - but might not be able to get to that. Conditions will be tailored to a large group of players - don't expect anything that will be extremely harsh (ie Very High winds)

Is Stadia will be add to the tour? I'm trying to register but Nintendo Switch and Stadia are not in the choice for preferred system. I know we won't be alot from Stadia (if I'm not the only one) but I really want to take part on the tour but I don't plan on buying a new console/pc for that. We don't have plans to support STadia on site at this time - our events are available in-game as they are mirrored from PC. Will reach out to Tim again to see what's involved in bringing in Stadia support - but a quick look at our API shows very few (usually none) stadia users playing - so until the numbers get bigger it'll be a tough sell to code in a new system.
Switch is also not supported - unfortunately they don't have unique gamertags (they go by first names) so it would be impossible for us to pull in scores accurately unless a unique field was included in the data - which it currently is not.
Can't say I'm suprise by that. The Xbox series S is really tempting. Maybe next year. Thank for the answer.

Has there been any discussion on what happens when next gen comes out in a couple of months? Do you think those systems will be incorporated straight off or will there need to be a testing period and bring them in at the start of the year or so?

That's more of a Tim question - but I would assume it'll take some time to code/support - we'll have to cross that bridge when we get to it.
