I played this a few days ago and loved it. I agree with the guy who commented on the texture colours, but if this is the best you can find, it's such a minor quibble.
Overly "clean" and green textures were an issue in the previous game and, it would seem, remain so...

I have played this course like eight times. I can't stop and I won't. I have no "texture quibbles", this course is perfect.

Little sneak peak into what the Lido at SV will look like: This is of the 12th green- Punchbowl. Just as an example of how much harder golf used to be- CB Macdonald expected players to have a driving iron (1 iron) into this green. And the drive over the water was harder than this shot. The concept here was that all you had to do it clear these traps, even if only by a foot and the ball would chase into the punchbowl and you'd be fine. I play a lot of hickory golf and I can fully understand how intimidating this hole must have been.

Now it's simply length that is designed to intimidate although in the last 10 to 15 years there's been a shift back to classical design hasn't there? I've played The Lido about 3 times now and it's one of my favourites. Looking forward to the official release. Where do you play hickory golf? And pardon my ignorance by what's the "SV" in The Lido at SV?

Personally I really dig the green shade your using now, I understand it might be a little more brown but it looks pretty green to me in the color photograph. Can't wait til it's completely done as it is already a masterpiece!

hickoryghost are you re-building the Lido file into a Lido at SV for 2k21? Yes, I already have it built. I don't think that I can release it until the actual course opens though or at least until they show pics of it. However, it is the same file, just with different perimeter, background, and objects (like clubhouse, telephone poles, etc). There will be nothing different in terms of sculpting or anything.

Will you still be publishing an original long island version as well? I mean the beta is already basically perfect but would be awesome to have two completed publishes versions in 2k

Just played this, wow.
What object did you use to make the steps coming off the green on 13?

Just played this, wow. What object did you use to make the steps coming off the green on 13? I'd have to go look. But I think I just put planks of wood down on the ground.

It's done based on the information I have. I've been hoping to get more information from an archive that has been closed due to covid. But I can just publish it as an official version if people actually want that. I don't think that there will be any changes from the last version though. But I suppose it would be easier to search for.
