Welcome to the Union of Pro-Am Hacks where we’re not good enough for matchmaking but we still want somewhere casual while being somewhat competitive at the same time to play Golf.
I’ve played a lot of Tiger Woods 2005 in my day, probably more than most of us here, was playing it up until the day before release of 2K21 where I bought this on a whim and figured I’d give it a spin, 2K21 is good enough that I’ve since retired Good Ol’ Sunday Tiger and now serve at the altar of HB Studios and the glory of its Creator.
That said, I started up the Union the other day to offer us hack golfers a place to play on good courses and still have the challenge of having to make the shots like I had to on Tiger 05. Sometimes it works out and you’ll post a -12 and sometimes you’ll have one of those days and shoot +10 it’s a nice rollercoaster.
125 Coin initial membership fee to start and get the bank started as I plan to empty most of the bank for Championships and Majors. I need to adjust the buy in’s for the 2nd and 3rd tournament to the standard I set when I scheduled Week’s 2-4 of 100 for the Monday/Tuesday Open’s 150 for the Wednesday/Thursday Classic and 200 for the Friday/Saturday/Sunday Championships/Majors with 90/100 respectively being the payouts with a good chunk of the bank going into bonuses.
The Settings I’ve been tinkering around with the last couple of days, probably about 30-40 rounds found out pretty quick that I didn’t like 5 putting from 8 feet because I can't get my power right so I turned the distance meter on to Putting Only, still have to make the putts but unless you’re having a bad day you won’t 3 putt too damned often, rest of it plays like TOUR Difficulty on Tiger 05 imo, you still have to make the shots, judge your lie, wind and elevation.

First two seasons will be 2 months each with Season 3 starting in the new year running to a 3 month format, you’ll recognize all of the courses on the slate as they are generally picked directly from these forums, each season will end at Firethorn with a 4 Rounder and then start the next season off back in LA for the Open and Idaho to follow up with a new slate of courses after that until we make it back to Firethorn again.
We’re fully scheduled through Week 4 at the moment with Weeks 5-8 to hit the slate as soon as I come up with some names and courses I want to use.
