It's that time of year again...time to post your predicted Premier League table. It's a bit tougher this year with the transfer window getting a late start/finish but here's my table:
1. Manchester City 2. Liverpool 3.Manchester United 4. Chelsea 5. Arsenal 6. Wolverhampton 7. Leicester 8. Tottenham 9. Everton 10. Southampton 11. Burnley 12. West Ham 13. Brighton 14. Leeds 15. Sheffield United 16. Newcastle 17. Aston Villa 18. Crystal Palace 19. Fulham 20. West Brom
The Top 4 Many pundits are predicting a drop-off for Liverpool and while I think they will certainly not replicate their incredible form of last season, I still see them as title contenders. But I think Man City will edge them in the end. Man U and Chelsea both have a ton of talent and either could push the top teams but I see them as just a step below. Man U conceded the fewest goals in the league in the 2nd half of last season while scoring the third most. Chelsea meanwhile have added a ton of new talent, but have as of yet, failed to address the keeper situation. I expect they will and they need to.
The Second Tier Arsenal, Wolves, Leicester, Tottenham. These four could end up in any order. I like what Mikel Arteta is doing with Arsenal but they're still a several transfer windows away from being title contenders. They need midfield help. Wolves are a solid, consistent, team but solidly second tier. Leicester need to be 1st half of last season Leicester, not second half of last season Leicester when they were quite poor. Tottenham...well, I just don't think we're going to see enough consistency from them to get them higher than 8th.
Mid-Table For me, Everton and Southampton are the two most likely to round out the top 10 and Burnley is a bit behind. Everything beyond that is a complete cluster.
Relegation Battle I don't see Fulham or West Brom having enough to stay up. The other relegation slot will be a battle between Aston Villa and Crystal Palace. Palace is a team that could finish near mid-table or completely suck...they're that volatile. But given how they ended last season, I'm not encouraged.

Leeds... above Newcastle? I’ll never live it down if it happens!

1. City 2. Liverpool 3. Chelsea 4. Arsenal 5. Man United 6. Wolves 7. Tottenham 8. Everton 9. Leicester 10. Sheffield United 11. Burnley 12. Southampton 13. Crystal Palace 14. Newcastle 15. West Ham 16. Brighton 17. Leeds 18. Fulham 19. Aston Villa 20. West Brom
With a healthy Laporte I think City will take this one over Liverpool. Teams typically find it hard to find the drive to go back-to-back.
Chelsea is looking stacked this year. It will depend a lot on how quickly all of those players gel, but if they can also add a new keeper they will be very hard to beat.
If Arsenal can sign Partey/Aouar and find the defensive solidity promised by their new signings I see them edging United. I have to, I support them.
Definitely difficult to place the rest but I see West Brom, Villa and Fulham going down. Villa and Fulham both have challenges at the back compared to Leeds being the decision-maker. On the other hand, I think Leeds will really struggle to score with Bamford up top. His finishing leaves much to be desired but all the best to the lad.

I just think United's midfield of Bruno, Pogba, Donny V and the addition of the impressive young Mason Greenwood to their attack makes them the better team.

I think we have the better manager and have looked to have sorted our frailties out against the top teams. But as it stands, our current midfield is not creative enough against more defensive sides.

1. Man City 2. Chelsea 3. Liverpool 4. Arsenal 5. Man U 6. Wolves 7. Everton 8. Tottenham 9. Leicester City 10. Leeds 11. Southampton 12. Newcastle 13. Brighton 14. Burnley 15. Aston Villa 16. West Ham 17. Sheffield 18. Crystal Palace 19. Fulham 20. West Brom
Also as an Arsenal fan, landing outside the 4 is probably more likely, but I refuse to make predictions that way. Man U gets bumped by an improved Arsenal defense and Aubameyang golden boot. I think there is a clear top 3, no team has added more talent than Chelsea, they've gotten better or deeper at every position except Goalkeeper. I'm expecting them to find some consistency there and outperform the defending champs. City is the team to beat this season though.
Wolves and Everton got better while Tottenham and Leicester did not. Leeds surprises behind Rodrigo who I expect was signed to score goals. The usual cluster of mid table teams. Then at the bottom, I am predicting a sophomore slump from Sheffield, but surviving ahead of Crystal Palace (who I could see anywhere between 10th and relegated) and Fulham and West Brom, who it seems everyone expects to merely exist for a season before heading back down.

Good on ya. Thank you Jeff. And yeah haha, last season I had positive thoughts and thought we would finish top 6 and push for top 4. Would have broke top 4 aswell if not for mental fatigue and injuries. I blame covid! This coming season my thoughts are not as positive. That prediction of mine is with my heart, not my head. 2 or 3 signings needed if we are to break top 4. Having said that, Chilwell is no big loss, just need to get Ricardo and Maddison back to fitness. My head says we’ll finish between 10th and 7th.

1.Liverpool 2.Man Utd 3.Man City 4.Chelsea 5.Arsenal 6.Spurs 7.Wolves 8.Everton 9.Southampton 10.Newcastle 11.Leicester 12.West Ham 13.Brighton 14.Sheff Utd 15.Villa 16.Burnley 17.Leeds 18.West Brom 19.Fulham 20.Palace
I think Guardiola's time at City is nearly done. Man Utd are much stronger than this time last year and will give Liverpool a real challenge. I think the winning points total will be in the mid 80s, nothing like what we've seen the last few seasons.
Southampton could surprise a few people, but Palace will finally get what they deserve. Leeds will just about have enough to survive and Newcastle's Bournemouth recruits will help them exceed expectations.
Wolves to finish 7th has to be the bet of the season.

Just the five goals scored at the Etihad. Not bad.
