ok now i am playing the exhibition event #5 and to be completely honest this is beyond a joke especially if these events are going to be seeded you cannot expect people in cc-f, cc-g or cc-z to honestly compete with the much better players who play on master or legendary settings because you will lose a lot of players. i know that this is a test event but i just though i would give my opinion on this. i ended up finishing +10 for the first round honestly i don't know if i will complete the other 3 rounds. i play this game to enjoy myself and playing on this difficulty is not enjoying sorry to say especially since i play on the cc-f tour i can only imagine how the people playing in cc-g and cc-z feel.

I'm 2 rounds in and sitting at +19 after a first round of +13 and a 2nd round of +6. Yeah it's been a challenging couple of rounds but we'll just have to see who is scoring what before we see how this season is going to play out.

It is difficult but it can be done. I was pretty rubbish at the beginning but have shot a couple of under par rounds now and generally am between even and a few over. It's important to remember too that the tours will (or should) all consist of players of similar ability. If you improve and do well you move up, if you struggle you drop down, so you're always playing against similar ability players. There won't be PGA tour level players in the lower CC tours beating everyone else by 50 strokes, or vice versa. Having everyone playing on the same difficulty and conditions should result in the leaderboards being a lot closer because everyone will be grouped by ability. It's possible in the lower level tours that an over par score wins a tournament. Alternatively there is the Pro-Am tour if you don't want to play on master yet.

Playing pga tour 2k21 and I just finished the event on the tgct exhibition #5 . I ended up shooting -27 for the event and the leader finished -48. now just curious is that all the different grades aka handicaps combined or is it just my cc-f grade because it seams a bit out of reach as in the target score to beat especially on my grade???. and that is the pro-am tour i dont know if the leader is a hacker/modder. but it might just be me. twofor22 as you said before people should not be winning a event by 20+ shots either but these people are i dont know what grade they are on but it seams sus?

It's everyone. We can all play all the exhibition events. I was in CC-C last season but I've been playing all the top tour exhibitions as well just to get more practice. If you go into the tgctours website and look at the leaderboard for whichever tour you were on, it will only have the players who are on that tour. In mine for instance the top score after round 1 was 5 under, and I'm 7th with a +1. The in game leaderboard with everyone was rather different.

It’s been to crowded in the tiers, and it’s not like anyone has to pay to play, also a bunch of new people bought this game and that will likely more than make up for people that leave tgct

I might be passing on TGC Tours play for this game... Master difficulty is just, stupid. I may not have been amazing at '19 but typically would shoot anywhere from -7 to -11 every round using Masters clubs on the challenge circuit, now I'm lucky if I break 80. I get it can be done, but it doesn't change my opinion, HB messed this game up!

Someone in CC-B is -23 after 2 rounds. Wow!

Someone in CC-B is -23 after 2 rounds. Wow! Well, it's safe to assume he's not gonna be on CC once the season starts! But seriously, I feel like the balance of power will change massively. I checked in on the Platinum Tour test event and Vitaly (World no.1, in case someone doesn't know) is +2 after R2! He had a whopping 6-putt quad on the ninth in round one, but other than that, it looks like a "genuine" score and judging by what I'm seeing at the top of the leaderboards, it doesn't look even remotely good enough to stay in Platinum...

Finished up round 4. Took my time this round and tried to play smart. Got 4 birds and and eagle. But I still ended up shooting +3 (75). R3 was a disaster so for all rounds I was +21 or something like that.

If you play this like 2019 you are dead, you can’t land a 340 yard drive on a 5 yard stretch of fairway like you could in 2019, you have to make like you are on the course, weighing risk vs reward, you simply can’t birdie every hole, one mistake can cost you everything with the way the drops are now, which is why I was even through two and plus 11 through three haha

5 yard wide fairways should be banned. 😂
I played a course in TGC2019 that had a bloody great big boat stuck right in the middle of the fairway, it was placed that you couldn't drive over it from the tee. Had to hit an 8 or 9 iron off the tee to avoid getting too close to it otherwise you had no second shot other than sideways into the trees to go around it. Then you couldn't hit a longer club because it wouldn't go high enough to go over it. This was supposedly a par 4 hole, should have been a par 6 or 7 with that garbage. One of the dumbest things I've ever seen. I don't mind holes that require more of a tactical approach to score well on, which is one of the things I've been enjoying in this new game, but stupid crap like that example shouldn't be permitted in tournament courses. We aren't playing mini golf.

Doyley - Why is the Projected cutline on CC-A only letting 47 players in? I thought cuts were normally top 65 plus ties?

This course was brutal. Just brutal. It wasn't fun to play with tiny landing areas and huge run-offs, long forced-carry approaches, and just penalizing trouble everywhere. Every miss was in the water, or resulted in having to pitch into the fairway because I couldn't carry a 200-yard chasm from the heavy rough.
+7 +2 +8 +1 for +18 total. Every time I would get a round under par, a double bogey was right around the corner. I think I hit six balls in the water and had another two come to rest on top of rocks. I hope these punishing courses find their way into the dustbin of TGCT history. The game is hard enough on its own.

Their threads often need to go to the same place.
