I wouldn't rule out very firm very fast greens on any course. We play that with very high winds at the maximum daily society and we do ok right SweetTeeBag For sure Steve. Everybody else, check out the society on PS4 as we have a ton of the best players playing here. "Maximum Daily"

Played round three and had it up to -5, playing very well. Then I 5 putted, 4 putted and 3 putted the final three holes. Round four was the same thing, probably had 30+ putts. It might not be a big deal to you Sloan, but that slow bug is absolutely killing my game. I spend over an hour on the putting green today, trying all sorts of swings with the meter and with not a lot of success. For me things are just broke. PLayed a few rounds with the meter on to see how much difference that would make and even then one of 3 or 4 putts get that 60%. In the other rounds 3-5 strokes were given up due to this so hopefully they get a fix soon.
Ah well. The rest of the game feels good. Still got some time before we start officially.

I've played too many straight ports that were difficult in '19 and are unplayable in 2k21. They look AMAZING, but play like sh|t. All these ports could use a few hours of TLC and QC to ensure they are 2K21 playable. I'm anxious to see what kind of metric we're going to be held to- this master's swing is so crazy and I'm all over the place... but I've managed to scramble and consistently around -3 or -4 (some -8 and +1 outliers). I intend to jump in some Exhibition events soon to gauge where I'm at. Counter argument: I'm better in 2K21 than I was in 19. Tempo is more consistent and I can play for a one way miss that was impossible before, so actually, from my point of view, most courses have ported pretty well. Eye of the beholder stuff tbh. If a course was genuinely great in 19 (i.e. not relying too heavily on pinched fairways, landing zones or very tucked pins), it will still be very good in 2K, but you may want to lower the green speeds. There's no point in asking people to waste hours toning down green slopes etc when you can just dial down the green speeds, especially when slower greens are now far more playable. Most of the straight ports I was referring to had 15y-18y fairways, tricked out greens (artificially difficult)... i had a run of 8-10 of these yesterday. The courses that had smart designs in 2019, can be easily taken care of by slowing down the greens.

Damn I changed my bag up a few days ago and made a few tweaks with my game and I feel I could seriously contend. I went from shooting barely under par to some crazy rounds the past few days. Still some minor things to clean up but the confidence is really growing. I realize this is the Elite event below.

Carded an even par rd 2. 5 birds 5 bogeys. This course is good just doesn't suit my eye. Making the switch to longer driver and woods this weekend as the distance may be hurting me on long courses. Loving the challenge but don't think I'l be making the platinum tour. With that said I think all 3 systems are close enough so at least this game I can have a TGC tour career.

Played the third round today and ended up -1 (I think). I was -4 after 9 but lost it a bit on the back with some crappy putting. Also got through about ¾ of the last round, sitting at -1 for that too. Had a putt on one hole straight into the sun, I've noticed with these that the moving white lines are very hard to see with how bright the green is. I almost made the putt too.

Gorgeous track for sure.
Just felt like I always had to hit the perfect shot. In one round I would hit the right center of the fairway and it would kick hard into a bunker or rough. Next round I would aim more left and it would kick the other way. One round I would play driver and out run the fairway. Next round my 3w would die in the upslope and I would be a good 60 yards farther back than driver. Approaches were very micro tiered. This course would work really well in tgc2019 but might need some softening in this game.
I sped played most of it and shot -16. A lot of careless putting that would probably tighten up and put me in the mid20s if I took my time. It’s an exhibition at the end of the day.

Ain't that the truth. I keep doing the same and telling myself they're just exhibitions, but I really question if I am going to be able to focus and take my time for 4 rounds once the season kicks in.
