No updates for a week. Been happening since last patch. It's really bad and makes putting unplayable. It used to be fixed by wearing a headset plugged into the controller, but even that seems to be having issues now.
Here's a video;

Looks like your swing not the software. I’m on PS4 and took the meters off for a smoother swing. Your is really jerky and you don’t finish At least that is my take. Unless that is the issue and you can’t take a full swing The ball is behaving true, the swing sucks. LOL
does it happen without the meter ? Meters suck

That same thing happens to me. It has to do with the forward swing transition being to "slow" and the power meter falls off a bit before it registers. There are a couple things you can try.
1. Be more assertive (quicker) with your forward swing. It is a fine line. You can blow the ball by if you're not careful, but I prefer that vs leaving it short like that.
2. Once you have your line/marker set, move the marker a couple feet further back. I find this helps with putt speed/pace.
I still leave some short from time to time. The biggest thing I've found is you have to be quick and assertive with the forward press of the stick. In my meager opinion, it isn't a natural putting stroke, but it's what this game has given us.
Hope it helps.

I put this bug in for PC on HBs site. Craig said he looked into it and was able to replicate it, only tho when he either stopped or severely slowed his swing and/or transition.
That being said, Craig did say they realized the issue and there would be a patch in place for it soon, at least for mouse/PC. Others have said they are having issues with it on other consoles, so I'm assuming if it is a patch for one, it will be a patch for all. Just no decision as to which patch or when it will go in. But it is supposed to be fixed!

You think that I can magically make the power go 20% less by hitting the ball slightly off line (which I account for because that's just how I swing, both putting and driving) - the second and third shots I didnt really give a sh%$ because I was pissed off. Damn - that's some talent!

Not to mention, when they do fix it, my putting will be messed up if I have to find some workaround to make it work. If you plug in a headset, it magically works about 95% of the time. It's absolutely bonkers that plugging a headset into a controller can almost fix it. I'm also scared to move the meter further back because I feel like going over just barely sends your shot way further than the hole (percentage wise) than if you kill it on purpose. The penalty seems severe for either side of the white line, which is fine, if it works lol

I'm not sure who Craig is, but if he has a PS4, he should be able to recreate it anywhere between 0-30 times per round.

Try this linkNow he was reproducing it, using a mouse, but as I said, others have been talking about the issue from PS4 and Xbox. The fact is they have identified something that is causing the issue.
My thought is once you start your downswing, there should not be an interruption in the swing like we are seeing. You can decelerate but generally once you start any downswing, you are committed to that swing.

That happens to me if I make the downswing too slow. Otherwise it hits it properly.

Thanks. I can't post (can't find a spot to register), but I sent them a message from their main page.

Again. Have you tried this without the meter? Putting and full swing is MUCH easier without the dang meters. Watch the golfer instead. I’m on PS4 and have never seen this

That way I can just pretend it's all okay because I really can't be certain I hit the perfect power? lol It's probably happening to you more than you know.

Because it might be caused by the meter. Take that out of the equation. Sorry. I have not had this problem on a PS4 and putting was much smoother once I got rid of the meter.
I spent 25 years debugging software and you have to eliminate all the possible variables
My putting is good up to 25 feet, after that I still have issues. Does this happen in the training greens? Or just on the course Just checking things off that might be the cause.

I did have the issue a lot of others had early on with it not completing the swing at all, but after that update last week or whenever it was it hasn't done that again once. Every time I leave it short I've either not dragged it back far enough or I've been too tentative on the push forward.
