Round one at Black Diamond Ranch (Lidar) was certainly a roller coaster for me.
I will say that I have played this course IRL four or five times. It is actually the Quarry course at Black Diamond Ranch (there is a Ranch course also, which is very nice but does not have the dramatic 5 holes around the Quarry). This is a very accurate rendition of the playing part of the course, I did not look around too much at the Clubhouse etc. Also, if you thought the greens were tough at 153 speed, they are even faster IRL.
I really played OK for the most part, but a quintuple bogey on #9 and two other quad bogeys left me with a pitiful +17 for the round. On to Round two!

Had a crazy Round 1. Started off with a ton of bogies. Then a bunch of birdies. Was even par on 18 when i somehow "miss hit" a splash and the ball hit the break on the green just right and plopped in for an eagle. -2 for the round.

A scabby -1 in R4. I'm ignoring the +13 I started Round 4 off with Mike Really enjoyed the course. Was worth the grind.

+8 in the first round due to 2 OB balls that led to to a triple and double bogey. I just cannot put a clean round together.

I finished all four rounds, and I can only say the last three were somewhat better than round one, but I still finished the tournament at -48. I was actually finding fairways and greens, but could not putt to save my life, and it had nothing to do with the 2K21 putting mechanics either. In TGC2019 I used charts for putting based on "clicks" and the speed of the dots, but sadly no more clicks so I am going to have to find a new method to read sidehill breaks. I think I had something like 45 putts on the last round. Sad.

No, I live in "inverted world" where up is down and down is up, so -48 for me is like +48 for normal folks; we have anti-gravity and anti-matter in inverted world.

Very tough course for me! Currently rounds of +35, +29, and +18. The first two rounds I heard rumors that there were fairways but probably stumbled onto 2 or 3. Third round I did better 70+% FIR. GIR, forget it. Those I did make were for 50 to 60 footers, mostly downhill puts...the "Holy Rollers". Anyways, round three I just forgot about playing for the Fast tempos and focused on hitting all shots 98 lower power percentage and did much better, hence my +18. Will probably finish rd 4 later tonight after work.

I suspect I may get eye rolls here but oh well.
Played this event all in one sitting, yet somehow was hot to cold to hot again. As in real golf, even when I play great I always still think “what if”.
-7 round 1 tied me for the Xbox lead after 1. Then got cold, +1 in round 2 and -1 in round 3, so still sitting at -7 after 3 rounds which isn’t so bad, just the way I got there was frustrating.
But then got my groove again somehow and tied a personal best -8 in round 4 to shoot -15 overall and I’m now the leader in the Xbox clubhouse!
I must say the realistic-looking scores at the top of leaderboards for Xbox are very refreshing. A birdie feels like a birdie again.
