Firstly, thanks to whoever chose TBC, appreciate it. Think I missed the cut when this was on tour last year, so not a great history of performance around the course beforehand. I'm very happy to say that this was probably the most fun 4 rounds I've had on the game to date. I was really getting frustrated earlier in the week, but a pace of downswing thought/idea clicked for whatever reason - kind of like an irl swing thought when you get a good one that sticks and provides really solid "feel" for whatever reason - and after a final calibration yesterday I don't think I'll ever touch it again. Oh, yea, had to switch controllers, too, since the one I've used here for some time now is plagued with the putter pull-back sticking problem much...much worse than the other ds4 I've been forced to use, but maybe it was for the best. Think I'm figuring a few things out here-and-there, putting is getting better, but still plenty to sort out if I want to even sniff being up on this tour come next season.
Finished off the event at -25 to best our surprise legendary PC guest player by 1 shot, which I'm sure is well behind the ps4 leaderboard top 10 (I'd guess?), but I'm really pleased with how I played - sure, missed at least 5-6 putts inside 8ft lol but also made more than my fair share of stupid ones that I should never have had a chance at. Most importantly for me, I'm starting to feel like my input into the controller is actually controlling shot/swing output more and more each time (at least for now).
GL all, have fun.

I played on PC and shot -24. The swing was fine my slows felt slow and my fasts were fast. The reason I didn’t shoot well was reading the greens. It was tough because I’m used to ps4 pro on a 60” 4K tv graphics rather than low quality 17” laptop screen graphics. I’d say -40 should be doable. Maybe when I get a new computer I’d be able to play on pc.

I didn’t find this style course enjoyable. Honestly hoping it goes extinct in this next iteration.
Had multiple par4s that didn’t appear to be reachable where a splash shot was impossible to get close with the contouring.
A good example was 11. Think I went driver driver and still had a splash of 30 yards that landed like 6 yards short and rolled 20 feet by on 163s. Thought it was a par5 until I realized my score got worse. 🤷🏼♂️

I kind of agree, the overall layout suggests something that might play firm and fast but then the green complexes rarely give any option for bump and runs or even bouncing it on. Really just emphasizes approach shots above all else which was maybe the way to go in TGC2019, but I much preferred the RCR rounds I've had recently
Anyway I didn't play great. I was unexpectedly getting some perfect tempos so I tried to just go with it, and my good shots were good but ended up with a 2 way miss, sometimes getting slow and sometimes fast and found it much more difficult to manage the course that way than when my shots are slight hook or big hook. Turned a few bogeys into doubles and burned a lot of edges too, mostly on the 144 speed. Somehow missed 15% of the fairways where there is little excuse to miss any except maybe hole 2

I played 3 solid rounds and the 144s really shafted me in rd 3. Had at least 5 putts stop an inch short and a few just not break when lines and beads showed break. First course ive had that happen. I aint gonna slag this course too much cos it got me banned last time but its still dross. Cant remember what hole it was came up 6ft short of flag and ball rolled 72 yrds from the pin. Quality design that!

Here if you don’t hit the perfect shot, your ball hits a 6 foot wall guarding the green and bounds 25 yards off. Mind you that’s after hitting an approach uphill. It was like trying to land a ball on a concert stage.

Had 3 straight rounds under par (albeit barely) and finished under par for the tourney. I'll take it. Moral victory

Played all four back to back. Finished at -20. Had a number of three putts when putting from distance, need to work on that part of my game, otherwise I scrambled well and did okay. Went straight to driving range afterwards and recalibrated my swing as I wasn’t too happy with it. Decent score, could have been much better.

Shot -31 on ps4 I’m pretty sure the 7 shots better came from knowing the course and conditions and being able to read the green. I don’t think my tempo was much different on either system.

Think i finished -17 or -18. Good R2, average the other three.
Slightly baffled with the game tbh. Sometimes i feel like i know what i'm doing but i regularly have huge misses both ways so it's not like i can even eliminate one side of the course. Doesn't feel like there's much rhyme or reason to anything i'm doing
Can't hit anything other than a slow pitch shot

I think knowing the course was a large advantage. Where to miss, which side to play to, etc. Great playing either way, that’s a hell of a score.

Got to double digits at -10.
Still had about 12 3 putts and a 7 putt....
But I feel like I can usually 2 putt from 20 feet now. My confidence putting is creeping toward a 1/10. Big improvements from before.
Awesome course and very fun to play due to its uniqueness.

Well, the aesthetic here is definitely out of the norm of a traditional golf course. Kind of off-putting, but I got used to it. I did do something that is pretty rare in the 9 days or so since this game launched... I shot a bogey free round in my R1. You will note that I didn't light up anything, just a grinding out kind of round, especially on those long par 4s.
