HB has shifted the start/end times of events to 12am UTC instead of 8am UTC. This is a pretty drastic change for us - here's our two options going forward with details and pros/cons of each. Let me know which you'd prefer
Events start Sunday at 12am UTC (Saturday 8pm eastern)
Pros
- More weekend days to play pre-cut rounds
- More time to finalize website
Cons
- you're playing a week ahead of the real pro events if you start on opening weekend
- less weekend days to play post-cut rounds
- Larger gap from when event ends in-game and next one opens up on site
Events start Monday at 12am UTC (Sunday 8pm eastern) Pros - Follows real pro schedule more closely
- More weekend days to play post-cut rounds
- only 4 hours from when event ends in-game to when new event opens up on website
Cons - only 4 hour window to finalize week for admin
- Less weekend days to play pre-cut rounds

Sunday 12am UTC...gives the admin the much needed extra time to finalize each week

it could really spoil the immersion if we can't sync up perfectly with the real life Platinum Tour

Not familiar with the timings, If a tourney starts Sunday 12am UTC, when would it end? My issue being in US was tournaments ending Saturday Night, so if they started Sunday would they end on Friday? It's confusing to me. Can't the end date also be set? I'm confused how an event starting a day later means less time to finalize? Or it wouldn't keep the same end date you mean?
EDIT: I think I am understanding a little better. Based on how the website is set up currently, Starting Monday at midnight UTC would be Sunday 8pm and therefore less time to finalize the previous week before the scores are wiped from here and started fresh again for the next week? So my question then is if the tournaments started Sunday midnight UTC which is Saturday 8pm, admin would have the whole week to finalize? That part is still confusing me.

If tournaments start on Monday 12 AM, for someone like me, living in Europe, that would make it very difficult to play the pre-cut rounds. Work does not always allow me to play on workdays.
Hence, option 1.

I'm all for whatever gives the admins the most time.

Doesn't matter to me. So option A to give admins more time.

I think the end of events are 4 hours before the start of the next event (I think) - so for a Sunday start - event 1 ends at 4pm EST Saturday - and Event 2 would start at 8pm EST Saturday.. This gives Saturday 4pm EST until Monday morning for admins to finalize website. (basically a day and a half) For the Monday start - that would be 8PM SUNDAY EST - so Event 1 ends at 4pm EST Sunday - Event 2 starts 8pm EST Sunday - so admins will only have from 4pm EST Sunday until Monday morning to finalize the website (basically only half a day) Am I translating this correctly Doyley?

I'll have to check the end times a little more carefully - was under impression they butted together but could be wrong.

I'll have to check the end times a little more carefully - was under impression they butted together but could be wrong. No worries - Either way - it's a 4 hour difference if they are back-to-back with end/start- so.. Sunday Start = Day and a Half for website finalization Monday Start = Half of a Day for website finalization The choice seems obvious!

Although, selfishly speaking, it would be romantic (and realistic too) to have all the sunday here in Italy/Europe to finalize the tournament, with no doubt is way better..and fair too..to give more time to the admins to work on the website. The problem seems to be solved

I'd vote Sunday 12 AM UTC. Monday 12 AM UTC means that early risers wouldn't have any weekend days to get pre-cut rounds in, as they'll be halfway into Monday before the next event opens. With Sunday 12 AM UTC, the Pacific guys can still get rounds in until 9 PM on Saturday.
