3 attempts at making a decent game since the original. Wow backwards again. Took all feel from putting well done. Catch you all in another 2 years for the next one.

Personally I think the new yardage book is the worst thing about the new game - since on most holes, half the hole isn't even visible in the book! And as for no elevation info being available........well I guess the YTS programming boy got the job of designing it....

I always want the originals out here playing though. What has helped me a good deal in putting is to go practice 10, 20, 30 foot putts using the swing meter. This allowed me to watch and feel at the same time the correct swing. Then when I go to the course I can recall that feel...much of the time. I hope you figure it out pal...I really think this version is excellent. Of course I'm shooting right around par, so expectations are key for me.

Why did they get rid of that? Lol.

I use the aiming circle to measure left to right. Unless you turn green grids off, which won’t happen, there’s no real reason to remove the aiming circle. No circle means now I’m just going to make a ruler on paper and hold it to the screen. That’s silly.
Really makes that much of a difference for you? Especially with the tempo in this game I just eyeball everything.
Makes that much of a difference in what way? I’m going to measure crosswind no matter what. Either use the circle that’s already in the game, or I’m going to make a ruler. Wind is not feel. We calculate headwind, don’t we? Crosswind is pretty close to the same idea. It has worked well for me in rounds with very high wind. I’m not saying it’s a deal breaker and I’m out of TGCTours without the circle, I just don’t see a reason to remove it.

I meant do these finite calculations with the wind make a difference in terms of your scoring or proximity to the hole? Once I got used to playing without the number next to the wind meter I just play everything with feel shots, crosswind, headwind, tailwind, etc. And I am still competitive with the best in the world. I just couldn't imagine actually trying to hold a ruler to the screen to get the ball a tiny bit closer when my tempo will push the ball a couple yards left or right anyway.
