Fyi the settings are locked - this is the bug that hb is working on that we'll be waiting on a fix for before starting.
Also makes some of this exhibition data a bit less useful but still good to get out there and get some rounds in - just can't be certain everyone is playing same swing/settings just yet.

Played first 2. 7 or 8 over after. Settings were locked and my lie grid was still off as I have it. I also have the vibration off. Either way, I suck.
Quite fun minus a few fun time putts and wonky shots. Birdies here and there.
I should probably get forgiving clubs since me tempo is very bad.
😊😊

Forgiving clubs saw me shoot -4 over the last 2 rounds.

Finished up at +3 for the event.
Meh. I'll take it.

Fwiw I went 64(best round yet) - 72 - 70 - 71 for a grand total of -7 for the event. Somehow currently leading on PC, would be interested what top scores on other consoles are.

When you say it’s locked but there’s a bug - can you elaborate? Is the bug that admins can’t change it only presidents?

-15.
If I made everything inside of 5 feet it would have been -20 and if I made everything inside of 8 feet it would have been -25. I think in the long term it will get easier to execute great shots as there are more options to adjust your shot in this one (e.g. separate adjustments for trajectory and spin or both splash and flop shots). I hope in the long term it will favor the creative players and shot makers over the robots who turn everything into a math problem
Putting is way better after practicing a while with the power meter off. Still have a few bad ones but I am dialing it in progressively over time, playing my PGA tour on 187s helps, cause you can't get away with blasting it by the hole on those.
The splash shot is overpowered. My play has been to just put the longest driver in the bag with no forgiveness, make fast swings and play a big hook. Tough to do around Riviera which is a fader's course but I was able to keep it in play really well. For irons I am definitely trying a more neutral tempo.

Little disclaimer: I was in between clubs, so I tried to hit a 90% shot with a little hook. Got a 95% shot with a little more hook. The rest is just... shiiiite!!! lol

Wound up shooting -20 with scorecards that look like real life (-6 -2 -6 -6) and a couple bogeys caused by hitting the flagstick then bouncing and rolling 20 yards away. I took the approach of only playing on legend swing difficulty since release, and I think it's made master seem pretty easy. I'd be really happy with this score if I didn't utterly despise this putting so much.

70-62 to start. Had a bit of a mare with the short game R1 - 3 bogeys and a double from silly mistakes. R2 was clean golf.

I wish someone would tell my caddie to stop recommending and 8i pitch when I am 110 yards away. Apparently caddie thinks I don’t know how to full swing a wedge.
Also not sure if it is real or a mental placebo thing but I had less inexplicable slows when my DS4 was wired into the console vs. bluetooth.

Helped me in 19 so no reason to change.

For a while I resisted playing wired in. As weak as this sounds, the weight of the cord made slight change in the balance of how it felt in my hands, and I wanted to not have anything like that in my brain when playing my tour rounds where I'm looking to avoid even the slightest distraction. But I am just going to learn to swing plugged in from the start with 2k21 and will probably hate playing unplugged even though my wife gives me a hard time if I forget to put the cord away at the end of the night.

I keep looking hoping it shows up. But there is no way to turn off suggested shot is there?
