Did someone setup a qschool practice tourney? Sadly without the ability to turn off haptic feedback, it will be another example of controller users having a HUGE advantage over mouse users. We are used to it but it still bites.

So how close are we to deciding the settings? 3 weeks seems plenty of time to hash it out. Waiting for feedback on the feeler settings you threw out last night? Been practicing on your own swing instead of the planning for the tours? MF we need answers. I ask because I need to start practicing... Ok... Not sure if you're serious... But practice master swing, with no putting meter and no swing meter and you won't be too far off... If you're serious with the attitude, give your head a shake and donate some cash to this site so that you, and others can continue to enjoy it, at the expense of the personal time of others.

I've played a little with my xbox controller instead of my mouse. The haptic feedback is very much a large advantage for putting. If it can't be turned off then it will absolutely give controller users a distinct advantage over mouse users. Well, even more of one, I should say.

Well, even more of one, I should say. I feel that I get more feedback from the practice swing meter. On PS4 at least, it's about impossible to feel the rumble on putts anyway. I turned it off. But, that's just my opinion.

I just putted around a 100 putts with the meter off and did quite well. 80-85% of my putts from both outside 50' and between 20-30' were within easy 2 putt range with 8 going in. It is really makes you feel the putt. Did the same thing on the driving range and I'll manage, just will take time to practice. The short game is going to require a lot of practice as partial shots are going to be tough. As for you Fadge, it is still an advantage that you have over us, even if you don't use it. It is cool tho, we are used to it. Controllers play 98-99% of the rounds so more power to em.

I think the master difficulty default presets with no distance control meter for swing or putting is the best way to go. If you think that’s too hard.... golf is not easy FYI. I’ve played maybe 5 rounds or so on master difficulty and first round shot +13, best round was Even and I was very happy shooting Even par. It’s more rewarding when it’s a challenge and like I said, Golf is not easy.

ELI5 here... What is meant by haptic feedback? The vibration? If not, then what?

Hey Doyley -- has the team discussed splitting up the consoles to allow for the harder (I will say "more realistic") Xbox users to stand a swinging chance this year? From what I can tell PS4 carried over all the same advantages. If not, I get it - just curious if there was any real discussion about this after seeing how PS4 users dominate.

We don't have enough data from the new game, yet, to see if any advantage exists for any system. That's why we need everyone playing the exhibition events, so we can collect and analyze the data.

That would defeat the purpose of this entire website. I get it, PS4 guys going to wreck us again apparently it seems. Maybe HB will find a way to adjust that. They tried with calibration but doesn't seem to even make a dent.
