What about distance control assist? Not the meter, I know.

Master swing with no power bar will make it IMPOSSIBLE for me and some other CC players to play. I will hit the stroke limit every time. I still use the flick the stick swing from TGC 1 where tempo did not matter and have never changed it and will never. I tried those settings and hit stroke limit on 10 holes in a row because I have no idea how far my putt is going to go. I pull back MAXIMUM backswing and then flick the stick forward as hard as I can. You have never changed and never will. That about settles it right there don't ya think? It's a new game with new mechanics. Adaptation is necessary. I don't know any other way to swing..

This is working for me and I posted this in another thread: Most folks are having difficulties, me too at first because most are getting 101% power which is an over swing and generally bad things happen unless one gets a perfect/100%. I've worked on this in the driving range, try hitting between 99-96% power, the shots are better quality and eventually you start getting the perfect tempo. Try it...it works. Yes, you loose some distance on your tee shot, but not trying to perform some miracle recovery shot from the rough.
Played a course earlier today 1 round and a lousy +45 on master difficulty. Played Scottsdale testing out my new theory and +2 for 1st nine, finished the round at +10. Dropped two consecutive tee shots in the drink and three putted the green. Despite that minor fiasco I shaved 35 strokes off of a round.
It is doable.
Edit: I ditched the power meters...a distraction imho. This new game really is a totally feel type game, especially putting.

I think that the distance meter is absolutely necessary. Note that even legend difficulty is activated. I've not played a single round with it turned on. I'm 10 rounds in on master difficulty with this turned off can shoot regularly around even. Most of my long putts are going close and mid to short are easy to sink. The only reason I'm not getting constant -5 or better is I will have a brain fart on st least 2 holes where I will double or even triple. I think it was an advantage to have never even tried to play with it on because i don't have the issue of getting used to it only to have it taken away

You’re seriously telling me you are incapable of manipulating you mind / thumbs to pull the stick back partially / more slowly than you are used to?

I swapped them off and it took a out 4 hours of playing to stop looking at them, now that I am used to it I find it easier to not over swing. This game really feels like it can be played super arcade style or more of a “feel” style, mixing the two feels off to me at this point.

Just take a little advice, and put that into practice. It’s the same for us all, but most of us enjoy the fresh challenge and learning to adapt. You can do it.

If anything I've learned I'm definitely more of a feel player.

(@bahn) yes he means 'Distance Control'. Same thing. ( PopsDadio 'Doyle Rules) What about Legend Clubs? Data from exhibition events will dictate if legend has any hope of being used - will take a small miracle to move me off of 1 swing difficulty for the entire tour set. At best it'll be a pga option for either majors/WGC or if scores get out of hand and the majority prefer to go all out - I'd consider moving to it down the road. But out of the gate it'll most likely be master for the top tour too. Hard to pick 1 swing difficulty for the entire tour but I believe master to be the sweet spot. Blended difficulty wasn't appealing as people would promote out of their comfort zone and want to go back (similar to 2019 when pro swingers were forced to master). Best to remove that option right off the hop. Again it's very important to remember that I've had 3 weeks to come to this decision. Many of you will vastly improve by your third week and I think most will enjoy the competition and pressure the master swing will provide. Is there any chance of having 1 legend tour/society that everyone can be part of in addition to their regular tour society? Stats wouldn't necessarily have to count.

I was playing amateur and then pro difficulty working my way up until I saw that Doyley was setting up for master on all tours. So I changed to master and wow, did my shots go all over the place. I had lost my tempo. Then I remembered. If you're going to change difficulty, go back to the range and recalculate for the new tempo. I recalculated for master and it's a whole new world. Shots are now finding the fairway where they were finding nothing but cabbage. But we were told there was no difference in the difficulties as far as swings went. Only the cone for a perfect shot (and I'm guessing the penalty for missing it) were different. A perfect tempo shot on Pro would still be a perfect tempo on Legend. No, a perfect tempo shot on Legend would be a perfect tempo on Pro. Pro has a much wider acceptance (the white band at the top of the swing meter) of ‘perfect’ than Legend. Many Pro ‘Perfect’ tempos will not be perfect in Legend

I am guessing there will be good non-TGCT Socieies that do this on the main platforms (PC, PS4, XB1) that could cover those interested.

Not exactly thrilled with the real tour names leaving smh. But I guess im fine with everything else. As long as we get normal, realistic scores with competitive tournaments, im good.

The name changes are probably the thing that bothers me the least.
I'm actually really looking forward to this season getting underway to be honest.
Have the societies been created on all three platforms?

Have the societies been created on all three platforms?TGCT Societies in the past have been "Global" that appear on all the traditional (PC, PS4, and XB1) platforms. I assume that is still true now (my educated opinion). But with the Switch and Stadia now in play I don't know if they are included or not. Hmmm

Have the societies been created on all three platforms? Checked on PS4 earlier today and all of the TGCTours societies Doyley mentioned are there; except for True Sim , unless I just searched wrong.
