I think you need to be careful also, as I can imagine having the DPI on the X axis will result in having too straight of a swing and triggering the API warning. Don't worry Brighttail is fully aware of just where he can adjust the x axis to, too make game easy without being officially labelled a cheat. He has years of experience with it. Since Ron Brighttail only uses single DPI, the advice was aimed at me. All advice noted, my mouse swing issues are pretty horrible at this time but with more practice and tweaking (first week of the game I have not been able to play much due to IRL issues) I hope to return to my mediocre levels I have established since TGC2

I started a different thread here about this issue, but maybe it's more a PC issue? Or a mouse issue? Or a ME issue? Here is the thread: tgctours.proboards.com/thread/24189/true-shot?page=1&scrollTo=571798In a nutshell, once a round this True Shot thing pops up and does not allow me to go forward. I have tried playing with True Shot on and off, tried making the True Shot adjustments, nothing works! I have to quit the round. In casual and society rounds I am able to rejoin and complete the round without issue. In Career Mode I rejoin the round and the True Shot is still there, I cannot move forward. This CAN'T be happening to anyone else or there would be massive public outcry. Is it an issue of me needing to uninstall/reinstall 2K21? Has any of the mouse community experienced this and can guide me through it? I am at my wits end folks (being a half-wit and dim-wit it didn't take long).

Hey Art ... I turned that off within the first hour because it was so annoying. It's under your Settings -> Display & HUD -> In-Game Help ... that should stop those messages from popping up.

I think I played 8 rounds in the TGCTours Pro tours and don't think I saw more than 2 or 3 "perfect". So, I went to the range to get actual numbers. Pro-Am:13 swings ... ALL perfect Pro:15 swings ... 9 fast, 5 perfect, 1 slow (which puts perfect at 50%) ... but it's worth noting that the Fast tempos were all manageable (meaning, the ball didn't go too far off course) Masters:100 swings ... 35 fast, 64 slow, and ONE perfect. (50 swings before calibration, 50 swings after - and the only perfect I had came before calibration). The fasts/slows were all over the place, too. So, I have no doubt something is broken with mouse on Masters. I've always been very consistent with both my swing line and tempo (feel free to browse my YT videos - linked in my signature). You'd think I'd be able to accidentally hit the sweet spot and have more than 1% perfects. That's simply absurd. It's at least as bad on Xbox, this is not confined to mouse users.

The whole tempo is tough. I have been trying something different. I put mouse sensitivity to 100% and have been trying to swing slower. I may be onto something here for me at least because it now doesn't feel i have to really accelerate the mouse to achieve a perfect. It can be a slower swing. I'd say maybe a 2:1 ratio in speed from backswing to downswing, the downswing being about 2 times faster than the backswing. Before it was like 4-5x.
All in all it will take some time to get things down and figure it all out. Practice!!

Okay, I'm possibly the only person impacted by this, but...
If you have a stacked dual monitor (One above the other), you might consider setting the monitor setup to be 'side by side' when playing PGA 2k21. I have an UW monitor I play on and a second regular monitor above. As a result, my downswing regularly moves the mouse to the top monitor. After switching things around, at least on some shots like splash shots, some of the crazy Very Slow swings (when I was trying to get a fast swing) seemed to have abated.
I'm going to have to try the game 100% mouse sensitivity. I'd been trying a crazy high (6000) DPI setting, but it hasn't had a huge impact. It's so different from the 2019 swing though. In the last game, I felt like I was making a smooth motion. Now, it's barely anything on the backswing followed by a crazy long and fast downswing. I had to move my keyboard back to keep it from getting slammed into by my mouse...

I'm playing pro difficulty with in game sensitivity at 55% and mouse DPI at 1500 and I am able to control most of my shots with a little concentration, however it appears that the same set up does not work as well for masters difficulty, so it could be that each difficulty has a different sweet spot for mousers and it is just a matter for each mouser to find his sweet spot for each difficulty as they go along.

I'm trying to master the master difficulty and it seems that the goal is reachable. I even shot on course a straight perfect drive!
Has a patch be issued for PC ? It seems to me that it's easier to swing today (I was out for 4 days). The putting too seems smoother though killer putts still occurs some times.
My mouse settings are at 2300/2100 and Windows mouse speed on 5.

I am going to need a patch or some help with settings. Look, its all fine and good to be able to hack it around and shoot under par. I have a number of -6 rounds. But, I am afraid there is going to be a longevity issue for me if I cannot start hitting shots with some measure of consistency. I don't know how much longer I will keep playing if I simply have no idea where the ball is going to go. Sometimes I think I swing fast and its very slow. Sometimes I feel I am very low and its fast. The only reason, and I mean the ONLY reason, I can shoot under par is because I am intentionally producing fast shots.

I just don't feel like I have the ability for any consistency, and because of that I'm just not into it. I don't mind the game being hard, but when my swing is all over the place with seemingly no rhyme nor reason, then it's just an exercise in frustration. And I play games to have fun, not be endlessly frustrated.

I switched back to Pro level, master is too much frustrating for the moment. Pro is not a lot less, but I can get some consistency on the tee and targeting the greens. Still, putting is a pure nightmare with its inconsistent bakswnig and the "Death zone" between 33% and 60% making medium/long putts quite impossible to master for me.

Not sure if i missed an update or something switched back to mouse today, felt about the same at first, but then i did an calibration and suddenly that seems to be working.(also did some dpi changes so might have just been that) suddenly managed to hit 9 perfects in a row(!) and aprox 60% on the course, with much less extreme offtempo misses aswell. current dpi settings that seemed to work for me, DPI 1800, sensitivity 35%
did have to put putting bar on again, without vibration putting gets too tedious, esp with that 1 sec delay before the putting stroke begins.

Had my first sub par score (-1) with Masters last night (round 1, IB, Sweetens Cove). Progress, albeit small.
Onward!
