Copper Creek National (Q-School) Doak Valley (Tournament Links) For TGC1 sake
I've tried and scrapped Copper Creek a few times, as I just couldn't come up with any idea for the plot that I liked. I just fired it up tonight, though, and got an idea. I'll update all of the obvious things that need bringing up to modern times, but otherwise I'll leave the layout mostly the same, warts and all. It won't be a course that's realistic or that pretty, and it will probably still be annoyingly hard. But it will have nostalgia going for it!
As for Doak Valley, I republished that in TGC 19 as Royal Isabella Resort. After playing it a few times recently, I've decided I don't like it that much, and I'm done with that one.

Didn't know you had done Kingsley and Boston, need to have a look at those since they're awesome courses. Or were they potential ones to work on for the first time?

Surprised that St Andrews is beating Firethorn. One for the golf purists! But ALL your RCRs need to come across, probably all your others too! Please. I've always said, who needs EA when you've got CLV?

As a Brit it has to be St Andrews for me.

As a Brit it has to be St Andrews for me. As a Brit I would struggle to choose between the two. St Andrews has the history but as a golf course I think there's better. I've always loved Augusta IRL, and I've always felt CLV's version has captured the magic perfectly. It's hard to go against all that history, but I think I do lean that way. I obviously voted for both!

I've already made the front 9 of Boston before (Revolution GC), so it should be a relative breeze when I get to it. Kingsley I just finished the OSM for recently. That's the best course I've played IRL, so it deserves the full treatment, imo.

68 voters is a pretty good sample size, so thank you to everyone who has voted!
Not that I doubt anyone's ability to read the poll results, but here are the final results and the order of courses that I will more or less follow in 2k21:
1. St. Andrews 2. Firethorn/Augusta (for now I think I'll plan on just releasing the lidar version, but if I hit any snags I'll definitely consider porting TGC19 Firethorn as is first) 3. Chambers Bay T4. Pinehurst No. 2 (this one might go first bc I've already started on an update of this with mayday_golf83) T4. Oakmont 6. Merion 7. Lahinch 8. Erin Hills 9. Crystal Downs 10. Shoreacres T11. Detroit GC (all versions) T11. Boston GC 13. Meadowbrook CC (this one will probably get a bump, as I'm currently working on it, so I'll probably just continue on and off while it's fresh) 14. Kingsley Club 15. Indianwood CC (both an original and "restored" version) 16. If I get to it, wasn't on the list: Essex County Club
Fictional courses I'll sprinkle in: 1. Old MacArthur Dunes 2. Sunset Ranch 3. Copper Creek National (TGC1 version, lol) T4. Leelanau Bluffs T4. Raynor Farms T4. Ross Society, or some new "old style" Ross course
That's a full plate, I hope I make it!

****Inverness Club in Toledo, OH****
My hometown and has hosted several majors. I watched in person Bob Tway hole that bunker shot in ‘86 to beat Norman. And Azinger in ‘93 beating him in sudden death.

For the bonus question, it'd be absolutely wonderful if you got original versions of Augusta and St. Andrews out fairly quickly after launch and then work on them as you'd please after. You could even name them something differently to not take the name you want of the polished version.
I just know me and many others will tire of the TPC-fests quickly and having the two most famous courses in the world available at the start would be awesome.

I actually just got a potential in yesterday to play the course, so who knows, maybe I'll get a chance this year or next year to play it. Otherwise I've definitely looked into the course since the renovation and it looks quite awesome. I won't do any non-lidar RCR's anymore, though, just not enough time, and while I haven't explicitly looked, I don't think there's post-renovation lidar data available since it's so recent.

I just started diving into St. Andrews today, and I think it might take longer to update than I was anticipating. So there is a chance I might need to do a quick publish on each. I'll just have to see how things look in the new designer.
