I think the answer is no to these opportunities and likely won't change my approach as it's only a computer game, however this is a grey area and I like to hear different views.
1. You can start the round description screen, see exact conditions, cancel out and then play a practice. its ok cos in real golf you also see the conditions before you start. I hope your bag locks once on that screen otherwise with exact conditions you may replace the 95% 3 iron with a nice 4 iron. However knowing the wind and direction allows to try stuff.
I think getting the exact conditions, playing them and then replaying is against the spirit, the weather report gives fair info.
2. real time issue i think i have 4 demo marks on cc-d, why not drop to pros and pick up 2-3 shots a round, get rid of the demos (just need top 100) and go back to masters, especially if a course with short 5's. nah cant do it im only cheating myself, i know i can play with masters, prove it!

I wish the conditions were hidden; more realistic.

Once you start a tour or society or a resumed round, you are stuck with that bag setup. I also believe your clothes remain the same also.
No advantage. Also, conditions and weather are posted ahead of time for all to see anyway.

glad to hear bag is locked, but exact conditions are not posted only the range you may experience. weather report will say default/medium and north/default wind direction. knowing the impact of hitting into a low north wing v a south medium trailing on a driveable par 4 is a huge advantage.

i wont cheat it, cos in real golf you never get the same conditions on the game it repeats.

Cheating is something which goes against the Fair Play Policy and Rules. Practice and hard work put into this game will generally translate to lower scoring. Having said that, there's absolutely nothing wrong with imposing yourself with your own set of rules if that makes you happy.

You wouldn’t be able to replicate the exact conditions for every shot anyway. This is really a non- factor.
