Into the playoffs - and fortunately, back to a really nice golf course (except the 4th fairway which is really not good) and a good fair mixture of conditions.
I'm back to being right on the edge of the cut with -18 after 2 rounds, but if I make it (doubtful), improved to -41 at the end.

Strange two rounds for me. Played poorly but I think I will be safe for the cut at -20. Pretty sure I was 80% to birdie when my approach was 200-250 yards out and 20% to birdie when my approach was 20-80 yards away. Weird combination of bad tempos, bad bounces, bad reads, crooked lines, and other miscues in the flop and pitch game which is normally one of my strengths.
Nice course, I would have been happier to just have the default 169 green speeds but overall this setup is a huge improvement over last two weeks in my opinion

Yeah I haven’t putted on 144 and slowish greens in forever. Used to 187s. Definitely rolled putts that didn’t look right. And the greens ran out a bunch for being slow; didn’t feel right either. But again that’s user error for not practice roundin’. I think -16 will make the cut. I’ll backdoor qualify for next week if it does.

In what may be the worst timed Promotion to PGA in all of the game- I get to partake in what is probably a one and done PGA tourney. Like a career Minor league baseball player who gets called up to The Show on the last day of his career... Though it's good to see a lot of familiar names. Friz CoinHen77 @cfgib dg727272

-9,-10 at cut probably on the edge of the cut. Couldn’t do much in R3 -4, -9 for -32. Left myself with too many odd putts all tourney.

63-59-62-68 - 32 under total.
Bad tempo throughout. Fast after fast after fast, made me hesitant to hit it and it became slow after slow after slow.
Got boring being constantly in the heavy rough or behind a tree and had lost my rag quite severely by the back 9 in Round 4. Made 3 bogies in the last 5. I'll make the cut @ -20 and that's really all i was after.
Not a fan of the layout but i don't think i was supposed to play it from the places i hit it so perhaps i'm being harsh

Gave in and bought a new pad on friday. Nice to buy one where the sticks sit centrally instead of 3 weeks tomew game and hopefully will be broken in for the new one. 100 x better than the broken one ive been using for months.
Onto the course. Looks good plays meh! Default 169 greens are a mess because they dont now whether they are fast or med fast. They never play v.fast so setting them to 144 and 163 is just mehhhhhh!! I had a lot of putts with 0 bead movement and lines saying dont give the hole away and i was missing by 2 cups and also had a number of putts uphill that just didnt play any and they were showing a box worth of break. I liked the mounding around pins on the short holes but then you have everything running behind the hole. -42 i think but bogey free for 72 and left loads of putts out there so least im on the way back to half decent play. Good luck all.

I liked the mix up with 144 greens. It's so far from normal it took some rethinking of greens in rd 1.
Round 1 shot -12. Had an absolutely disastrous round 2 with Very Slow drives to card a disappointing -4. Short par 4 put the ball 40 yards into the water. Games imitating real life. Really the most disappointing is hitting -21 over the last 2 rounds.

Not a huge fan of this course but it is interesting, and the setup has been enjoyable. Nice to have greens at different speeds. Pretty much the entirety of 4 is a joke. How wide is the playable landing area on that fairway to not kick left and be stuck behind that tree?
To the golf:
-8 R1, must've had 30 putts, nothing wanted to drop. -11 R2, with a bogey on 4. Airmailed the green with a VF swing. The approach bounced off the hospitality tent and I thought it was resting in front (couldn't see my player). Ended up being glitched inside it, never seen that before. First shot in there ricocheted around and it finished up on the platform inside it?? Wish I had been recording.

Swing is all over the place this week - managed to get to -18 at the cut, think it'll be close.
Thought the conditions were very fair, however I'm not sold on the course.
All the best folks

Wait a minute... so I get the Promotion- I go to check the course to do some practice rounds... and it's my Designed course?!
1. I have a dreadful record at Tourneys on my courses. 2. I dont think I've ever tried 144 greens there. 3. Note on #4 fairway- the fairway is about 55y wide. the right right side 25y is fairly flat (though you have to challenge the right side drop off) and D or 2W will leave you a good angle into the green. If you choose middle of the fairway, it will funnel left and you'll have to draw your approach around the corner.
