Welcome to the Korn Ferry playoffs, a time when the cut line is more important than ever, where making the cut brings you one step closer to glory, one step closer to fame and untold riches(minus scheduler fees, scheduler tax, and the scheduler thank you bonus). For others, it will be your last week on the KF for this season and having to wear the medallion of shame around your neck as you return to your home towns, an embarrassment to your friends and family, where teenagers screaming loser throw rotten eggs at you as you walk down the street, where parents cover the eyes of young children as they pass you begging on a street corner with a sign saying “ spare change to pay the scheduler”. No pressure though, just play the best you can. Hopefully it will be third time lucky this week with a course by theclv24, ( honestly, I think Craig has been cursed by the owners of Augusta)we had the Erin Hills debacle when all four rounds were played from the fronts tees on the same pin set(an error by the admins,( who I think were drunk at the time). We had Edgartown which after weeks of hard work by me to create the most perfect setup ever, the course was stolen by tyrannical admins( I think we’re drunk at the time)to use for another advent, where yet again the KF members became second class citizens. Fingers crossed that we have no such admin(who I think are drunk at the moment) interference this week. Now Oakmont is a course that I have never played well on, so as I sat down to start planning the setup, I remembered that I have a friend that played there last year, and I have another friend who as a teenager used to caddy there. So I said to myself, who better to help with the setup than them two. Then I thought, who the hell do they think they are, entering my thoughts like that, having me think that I need help, making me think they know more than me as they have played a course in a place I have never been, how dare they, and they call themselves friends. All I am trying to do is give ye guys the best playing experience possible but have to deal with cursed designers, drunken admin and backstabbing friends. I hope you all appreciate what I do for you and will understand why I need to increase the scheduler winning percentage tax for the playoffs to 25 percent, so good luck and have fun and use every dirty golfing trick you know to make it to next week.

This course was used for the Web Tour Championship 2 years ago. I've just had a look at the hole stats, as well as hole 18, holes 6,7,8,9 all played over par! Looks like it's going to be a battle to reach the turn with anything decent under par!
I have enjoyed the variety of courses we have played on this tour and wouldn't want to play an RCR every week, but when one does roll around it's always one I look forward to. Oakmont + CLV = Time to get your golf heads on. Good luck everybody! I hope to be joining most of you for at least one more week.....

Crossing my fingers that -15 makes the cut. I'd be amazed if it doesn't.

I, however, need a miracle. Tempo hell in round one, probably quite a fitting way to end my TGCT career on this game. Nearly every approach was fast with the odd very fast and very slow thrown in. I mean, very slow??? Come on game, give me an effing break!! I actually made a good start and was -4 thru 6 but from that point on it was one big struggle. I was still -4 with 4 to play but in the end my inability to get it in the same post code as the pin told, 3 bogeys in the closing holes saw me limp in to the clubhouse with a very underwhelming -2. Disappointing, but it is what it is. I've said that a lot over the last two years.
It's a great RCR. I'm just going to play round two with the aim of enjoying it.

Hello all,
Did -5 round 1 and i was massively dissapointed, because i felt like i left a lot on the course (missed 3-4 really easy putts)
Second round was almost the same BUT this time i made that 3-4 putts and finished -8
So, -13 after 2 rounds and i am praying to God now so he can allow me to make the cut
Greetings

Getting to the pointy end of the season and what a stunning course to play on, it’s a tough course but it’s fair and offers chances for birdies.
Round 1 Played very well but there are some tough greens out there, finished -8 after a strong back nine(-6)
Round 2 On fire, -5 after 6 holes. 5ft birdie putt on 7, missed it and missed the next one to card a bogey. Mustered well again in the back nine to card -9 and -17 at the cut. Seemed like I left myself a downhill putt on every green
Very happy with that

Made some silly putts on the front 9 to be -4, then followed with a string of birdies at end to finish -7 after 1st round. Just need an avg round and I think I'll make the cut. Lots of missed fairways, combined with some silly putts made, is not a sustainable way to play though

Rd 3 was tough, got a very very lucky eagle on the first and then clung on for dear life. Finished -4 Rd 4 the wind died down but the greens sped up -9 with no bogies
Very pleased to make it to week 2

Bogey free -7 round two which puts me at -14. I believe that should be enough to stick around one more week!

Had the A game in round one in the very low winds. A dozen under including a HIO on 6 which I’ll try later to edit a saved vid to post. Good luck to all the folks this week.

Went in to round 2 thinking if I could squeeze out a -10 from somewhere I might make it. Hit a nice approach in to the 1st and 3-putted for bogey! Back to plan A, just enjoy my last TGCT round of the season and on this version of the game on this brilliant RCR. And I did, the score didn't matter So that's it for me this season. Good luck to everyone who posts in these threads for the last couple of weeks, hope a few of you make the Tour Final. It's no secret how frustrating this game has been on the Xbox and I'm looking forward to a fresh start. I got bumped from PGA all the way down to CC-C initially. Spent nearly a season grinding in the Challenge Circuit before making the Euro Tour towards the end of last season. That was even worse, think I only made one cut in total! And then found myself here early this season and have felt very much at home ever since. I've only made around 40% of cuts, but I always felt I could compete if I played well. One top 10 earlier this season was my best and most satisfying week with this game (blame pablo for that one!). I just want to say a massive thank you to hmammoth. I fully appreciate how much time he has to give to run this tour. The course selections, set ups, and the entertaining introductions every week have made this a very fun place to miss cuts. That and these threads and the contributions of the Korn Ferry members, competitive but played in the right spirit, none of the b%&ing and moaning that are part of life on the PGA Tour. Thanks to you lot as well, I've enjoyed this season, I hope our paths cross again in the future. See you on the other side! Good luck in Q-school, I know where I'd like to end up...

That's my season done as well - been a bloody difficult few years on Xbox, but hopefully that'll change in a couple of weeks with the new game. See you all in Q School!

Well I started out round 1 playing great. Was -5 through 5 feeling great. Should have been -6 but missed a short putt which on this course happens. Then ran a string of pars before finishing up -4 on the last 6 to get a nice -9 to start. Could have had another on 18 but just missed. Overall I felt great so onto R2. With the winds up a little more I again just tried to be patient. Goal was no bogies and get into the weekend. -8 in a pretty balanced round but started to get more tempo issues. VF swings and then followed up with slow's and I'll take my -8 and -17 and run to the weekend! What always gets me is one or two dumb holes, one bad round but feel great about no bogies through the first two rounds. Will try to keep it up.
I sure hope I find myself back in this tour for the next version. Love the banter, always seems positive and fun. Great course selections as well. I always enjoy each week even though I don't play well all the time so hope I can find my way back for next season!
Onto rounds 3 and 4!
