I don't think this thread understands how this is going to go down. I'm not here to beg for a spot on either of these so called teams. Both of these captains work has been pretty lackluster and uninspired lately and I don't want to have to carry either of their sorry asses to victory. I need to see a good solid reason why either team is worthy of having me or I walk... This is the kind of winning attitude I'm after. Tagging @daprairiehawk too. I didn't forget this: God I hope petty @!$#ing picks me on his dream team, just so I can post this again at you in a few months This aged well. |

All done with the playthroughs and now my own judging begins. Just a phenomenal set of courses here, guys. Definitely made our job tough! Wanted to give a particular shoutout to the guys who came in from being alternates kermit713 Bearforlife73 and Oscar C . Great courses from each of you that showed you were very worthy of your places in the main field and I’m delighted you stuck around to see that happen 🙂 As for the rest of you, red, blue or independent, keep playing the courses and bumping the threads with your comments. It’s been a crazy window already; nothing would make me happier than to see page one and two being still full of the Dream Team courses two weeks from now. Best contest I can remember. |

Will be revealing my Top 20 courses of the contest on stream here in a few minutes which will later be put onto youtube. Just remember, if you aren't on the list or are lower than you think you should be, it's not because there are so many great courses in the competition....it's because I don't like you and I think you suck at design. |

Love your top community course vids canuck everyone has their opinion and it makes for interesting discussions and learning different peoples tastes. My top 5 would have been Merced Municipal, South Yarra, Port Melbourbe, Springbrook and Old Sunset Field.

I'm not much of a designer by any means (yet...), but I have to say I really enjoyed all of your courses. In the space of a few weeks we got 33 of the best courses in the game... what more can I say? Playing your courses made 2k21 better for me. Thank you all...

I really enjoyed the superb video and the list Crazycanuck. Indeed you are such an asset to this game in so many ways.
Course design is such a personal thing. I am, at the moment, randomly playing two Dream Team courses at a time “against each other”. One of the courses near the top of your list I rated as “tricksy and unrealistic” which lost against a much more (for me) enjoyable and playable course which didn’t hit your top 20! This just goes to show (and this should console all designers) that every (competent) course will have its friends and its enemies!!
I think that there probably is a difference in appreciation between “judging” courses (where tricks and evil greens seem to be largely appreciated) and just “playing” courses for pleasure, where a balance of fair risk and reward, and the general look and feel of the environment, may be much more important to the wider community?

I agree and don't think many designers(or judges) would say that these contests truly define how "good" a course is. The main point of these contests, from my point of view, is to give designing courses some more purpose and exposure. Similar to playing on tours or societies instead of just playing solo matches in-game. There's no reason to get bent out of shape over the results of judging in these contests if you enjoy the process of designing. Especially when you take into account how much better most competition courses are in comparison to the hundreds of thousands of courses released for this game series so far(TGC courses included). Just my two cents. |

It's obvious he missed the mark on environment, and more than one of the hole designs got away from him, but he's learning and I think we can cut him some slack. |
