Update on Draft info
Team composition
Still more spaces, as this was never 'first come, first served'. We're delighted to see how much popularity this has gained and how quickly. Originally, we envisaged 10 vs 10, but chatting with the captains, we wanted to try to stretch the field a bit more if we could, given the strength-in-depth we see in the field. The captains have been diligently scouting and decided we'd raise it to Ryder Cup numbers, so 12 vs 12 (excluding captains and JC/myself). For those not drafted, don't worry! We will potentially need alternates in case someone has to drop out. I'll be doing playthrough streams of each and every course when published and if you do publish as an alternate, I'll do one for your course the same as anyone else.
Mock draft
Once the field is set, I'll be releasing a mock draft for the community to debate. This is based purely on my own speculation and I have no idea who the captains are planning on drafting when and where.
Draft date
As mentioned earlier. Draft is Tuesday 11th August - 10 pm ET on McConnell's channel. He's put a ton of time into setting up the stream and it should be great. We'll start by running through the mock draft, having interviews with the captains on what they're looking for and then watch the draft unfold, analysing each pick as it happens.
For us GMTers - maybe worth an alarm. Follow RJM at

Obviously a lot of new stuff to bear in mind. So much potential with creativity and variety of courses, but a few trickier things to bear in mind. We know the 9 box rule will be out and replaced by something else - we'll keep you updated as we learn more.

December 1st - December 14th. Captains will help organise exact publish dates with their teams.
Once the draft is done, there'll be more info coming on the rest of the contest, including judging, collab course, format reminders etc etc. Should be amazing. |
