-9 in the first round and now you guys have me scared to continue. It's a funny course, deceptive. I'd like another go at it because it shouldn't be that difficult to score well and I'm sure someone will.

Played round 2 and got a -5, so it wasn't too horrible although I did have two bogey's and a couple of very makeable birdie putt misses. Greens certainly weren't easy and I had to deal with a lot of 200+yd shots that were at between club lengths which is always trouble. Plus after round 1 I knew 18 was going to be an issue before I saw it was playing 545 yds as a par 4 in round 2. There's no gimme par on that hole.

reading this thread makes me feel a little better. I'm -6 after 2 rounds and have missed what feels like a million putts.

It's oddly refreshing to play a course where you can play for par on most holes and be happy if you get it. My third round I kept bogey free so I was happy about that. Missed a couple of shorter putts with huge break so that felt like missed chances but wasn't anything to dwell on. Started fast with birdies on 2, 3, and 4 and thought this didn't seem too bad. Then came 8 straight pars. Finished strong with 4 more birdies for a -7. Might get it done and over with tonight still so I don't have to think about it for another day.

I went bogey free for a long stretch but it's a little weird to see a card with 4 birdies and 14 pars on it and think "I feel like I was playing well"

Nothing like a difficult week to make your score seem more competitive than usual. I always love weeks like that. I only got -2 in the 4th round so I ended up at -23.

Pair of -12s to open for me.
Love the bethpage vibe.
Couple holes where going for the green is the wrong play, not a good design choice to me.
