Well for everyone who didn't like the battle for pars last week - well this week is a battle to NOT have a par........even birdies are just meh!!!!!
Round 1, I finally (for 13 holes) I found out what it is like to be Brad, Vitaly etc.......as I couldn't miss.....
Holed a 45ft curler for eagle to get 1 under on about the 6th (by 1 under, I mean 1 under birdies - not par), then holed out for another eagle later on. Unfortunately chucked in a couple of pars on the back nine - but I even targeted the path on 16 for the big bounce - and hit it spot on, driving the 370yd hole. Then played a stunning approach to 18 using the angles, and another 20+ft eagle putt went in - for a 1-under round - I mean 19 under (in normal language)
Think the rarefied air at the top of the leaderboard got to me in R2, as I came down to earth with just -10, but even on this course, surely -29 makes the cut?
R3 was one of those rounds where I FELT I was robbed on about 4/5 occasions, and yet still shot -15, and then repeated that number in R4.
Couldn't quite make the -60 barrier, but -59 is still pretty sweet (for me - although I won't be within 10 of the lead by the end of the week)
Easy course, pretty easy conditions - a nice respite after last week. Two terrible pins in R2 (14+15) though.

-11 -9 for a missed cut at -20 not all my fault as Hb threw in some (a lot) off tempo bollocks including a very fast downswing on my approach to the very first hole 🙄🙄🙄

First round -20 is first time ive played near flawless scoring round in tgc. Everything dropped and total length of putts must of been nuts had a few wonky tempos but still rolled in tricky putts for birdie. That was my lot. Played ok for last 3 but still getting loads of slight slows at the top and the big squirt shot but cant moan. Finished-58 but winner should get -65 plus at least. Course is as u see it and there for the taking. Good luck all. 5 weeks to go!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't think we'll quite touch the historic lows of Bluderbuss with -77 winning, but I'd bet someone gets to -70. As for me, 4 ho-hum rounds in the 50s and I finish with -59. Good luck to the rest of you headed out there, y'all should go crazy this week.

Putter was working but I was leaving myself way too many long putts and couldn’t make all of them. Probably not making the cut at -22 which is a weird thing to type out here.

Yeah felt like I left a lot out there. Got stymied by one of those yardage stakes and ricocheted off another one into the rough in rd.4.

Just got promoted here with 5 weeks left in the season. Really 2 before playoffs start but I just wanted to introduce myself and ask you guys what the major difference is course wise on the PGA from Euro? I know the biggest change is going to be very high winds plus very firm greens but are the courses extremely more difficult or just amped up conditions? Good luck to everyone this week.

Firm greens, yes they are basically the norm up here give or take a few rounds here and there. Some blustery winds, some not.
The level of competition is what you will likely find the biggest change, IMO. Making cuts isn't a given for all but the top 25 or so players.
Also, if you aren't aware already, we have a secondary metric to the Fair Play Policy that is only in effect here (and also in TST) that isn't in effect on the Euro, KF, or any of the CC tiers. It is a push/pull metric. Basically if you purposely play your shot to miss the cone out to one side or the other consistently you may get the attention of the FPP.
Just go out and play your rounds and don't take the forums posts you see here too seriously. Some of the PGA players (myself included) take ourselves a bit too seriously for a video game, right or wrong.

Well, I definitely ended my season long cut streak at three. I was actually doing well through the first round and a half. -22 through 27 holes, but then over the back nine of R2, my woeful putting, sketchy approaches, and then a comical end happened to the round. Might be a demo mark, even, in the end. I have a couple of "highlights" to share! As we all have done at one time or another, we hit the pin on or approach shots into the green. But I had yet to do this before:
Then, on the 36th hole I felt I might need an eagle to make the cut, so I went for it. And then hilarity ensued.

Birdiefest course...YAY! No motivation when par feels like bogey and bogey feels like I might throw the controller through the tv. -20 for 2 rounds. See you next week!

I wish I could intentionally miss shots one way or the other... thanks for the info. Good luck
