It looks nice.
About the pin inside the little biarritz, is probably a matter of tastes. Personally, i think is not about to be good or not, but is more about if you want to offer a difficult pin or not. By default, i believe this kind of pins are among the easiest to play, but the actual difficulty is decided, generally, by the distance of the approach and, mainly, by what slopes (or obstacles) there are before and after that little biarritz.
I mean, if you can use for your approach a wedge or a short/middle iron, it will always result in a pretty easy pin, because it would be not so difficult (if not quite easy) to use both the slopes to end really near to the pin. But even if the approach will require a long iron, probably it will be still not a very difficult pin because, even if you should miss your approach and then you should to deal with a pretty long putt, those slopes will be always really helpful to stay near to the pin and to save (at worst) a good par, with definitely not too many problems.
Conversely, adding some danger (or difficulty, anyway) before or after that pin, at least this will force the player to evaluate a bit better his options and to research some kind of strategy.

Thanks for the feedback. At the moment I have all 4 pins outside the Biarritz. I’ll have to play test this one a lot. Work on angles, see how the ball reacts to the slopes, wind, etc. Difficulty wise I am aiming for something CC-pro. So nothing too easy but 2 very good shots will set you up for birdie on almost any hole. If you’re looking for something to do I published www.tgctours.com/Course/Details/22878?PlayerId=47756 a week ago. You always provide great feedback, I’d love your take on it. Cheers

Looking good so far.
IMO, Tropical offers a nice variety of scruffy little trees with it's signature palms, and quite a few green/fairway/rough texture combos seem to look okay.
In theory a hole in a dip seems easy, but slightly crown a centered Biarritz pin placement and it can be a challenge. Put the pin near the green edge of the Biarritz, another way to force a quality shot. IIRC, the hole between the hills wasn't all that easy at Putt-Putt when I was a kid.

Three members have now acknowledged this thread. It’s time to update the masses. I’m a slow designer slowed down by an unusually slow console. I was stuck on 14 for awhile but created a neat long/little hole where a 525 yard hole in one is possible and hitting the green in one is probable. Hope it’s not taken as gimmicky and was actually inspired by Kapalua and some of the cool downhill runs you get. Some pics..... I removed the bunker behind 9 and put in a garden that is OB. Partially because I still suck at retaining walls. One tough little par 3. That boulder left of the fairway is in play on your uphill dogleg to the left drive. 17 finally takes you down to ocean level. Now I sit on 18 and wonder if I should leave the tee box in the chute of trees to the right or move them here and rip off 18 at Pebble. Thoughts?

I looked your update on this course, the hole 9 looks beautiful, in this way. About the tees on hole 18, just playtest both of them to decide. Of course the idea to place the tee to the left can be really interesting, cause it puts in play the water a bit more, but is also true that if the right side of the fairway offers some risk, even the starting position could be good enough. I think you'll release a really interesting course.

The entire course is lined by trees so I am leaning towards the chute of trees. I love the Pebble Beach look and I moved the black tees over this morning but we’ll see. I went ahead and put in a green and even splined bunkers (not very good at that either) and it has potential. I want this to be an eagle hole as long as you can find the short stuff off the tee. And since I’m now Twitter savvy pics are always provided.
