Back in the land of traffic noise, sirens, car guards, nutter taxi drivers, froggers trying to cross the freeways and reliable internet. I think I will be able to survive without reliable internet Did not read many posts made during the past 2 weeks, looks like we lost a fair bunch of friends. Go well guys. And seems like the Judeans did not miss me much, hell another week or two and 'we' would have won this thing!

Good evening,
I just noticed that my final score this week is not correct, as the formula does not take into account my fourth round.
Cheers

Season Two - Final Round UpI know there are a couple of scores outstanding but they will not make a huge difference to the end of season scores. Week 6The mercenaries battered the Romans XVI-VIII. Chief got a full house, digsb and crushtastic scored 5 each and Giraffe72 scored 6. IGolfBad secured his second blob of the season, fransslabak and myself rescued a modicum of respectability and Art Vandelay scored some points. The Spanish Inquisition definitely avoided defeat as their final act before moving on (might still win as it is 12-10 in their favour as it stands with one match to go). Good luck to Riotous , SAM , cappy1 and of course SkyBlueBen . The Knights were evenly matched. up mup kupen nup now has his full score tabulated but it is still only 4 points, matched by Celtic Wolf and sid snott . hoosierhoops24 will have much better weeks in the future. The Lumberjack rounds saw Kevin lead the way from Frans and the fast finishing Bill. On the shortest Twit course so far we went batsh!t crazy on an eagle frenzy. Chief had a great week but was the only Judean not to eagle the last so he ain't all that. Art, Frans and myself dovetailed to such an extent we got the Empire to -24, even if Paul has eagled a bucket load of par-4s (I suspect we might already of heard about it if he had) the Romans can do no worse than second, which leads me onto. Quest for the Holy GrailThe Romans take the title. Crazy Croc was right, another week and the Judeans might have won it, but equally if my uncle had breasts he'd be my aunt. The Inquisition have probably held off the Barbarian Horde. Much like Waterloo it was a damn close run thing. Norwegian Blue Individual title. His name is Maximus Decimus Saladbowl (that's what slabak means apparently). Husband to a red slow pitch shot, father to a deliberate fast driver off the deck. He has had his vengeance in this world and the next. Frans held off the challenge of Kevin to keep his spot at the top of the standings. This was, of course, the big shock of the season given that they ply their trade on the Platinum Tour, making cuts and everything. In addition he's a lumberjack and he's OK. Frans was also the most consistent player on the Lumberjack rounds so a new supply of women's clothing is on it's way Frans for when you can hang around in bars again. Upper Class Twit of the Season(Through gritted teeth) Congratulations to Kevin, who had the best average for our six rounds of course stomping. He just beat a dejected Honey Badger into second place, at least I beat Frans at something. Thanks to all of you who mostly make my life very easy trying to keep all of this running smoothly. Every one of you has brought something to the thread and the competition this season. As so many were donning dresses and pushing women and children out of the way to get onto the lifeboats, I have to be honest and say that I wasn't sure if I had it in me to build again. A couple of posts in particular (looking at you Jamie) reminded me that there is a lot of fun to be had and it really isn't that much effort. With that said I will leave it to Frans to outline what the future shape of Parroting might look like.

Dear sid snott , honeybadger64 , IGolfBad , Art Vandelay , Crazy Croc , digsb , Chief , hoosierhoops24 , up mup kupen nup , crushtastic , Giraffe72 , Now that season 2 has come to a close, I would like to thank all of you for making this season a success and helping us get through a time of multiple departures by those not enjoying the game at Master difficulty level. I think we can look back at a fun season with some lovely silly posts! This is also the time to look ahead and reveal our plans for season 3. Season 3 will start Sunday November 21, 2020. We hope that all of you will want to be a part of it! If not, let me know asap. We will return to our roots by focusing on a TEAM competition based on playing the weekly CC rounds. We will have teams of 3 players. We aim at having 4 teams (if we cannot find enough new players) or 6 teams (if we can find enough new players in the next few days). Season 3 will be based on home and away games against all other teams and will thus be either 6 weeks (if we have 4 teams) or 10 weeks (if we have 6 teams). The set-up will be something like this (details might still change): Round 1 each week will be three singles matches with the three players of Team A taking on the three players of Team B. A win is 1 point, a draw is 0.5 point, so 3 points available. Round 2 each week will be one singles match and one pairs match, with 1 point available for the singles match and 2 points for the pairs match, so again 3 points in total. Round 3 will be a team effort with the scores of the three players of each team added together; 3 points for the winning team and 1.5 if it's a draw. Round 4 will be a team effort with the best score on each hole counting for the team scorecard (like our Twit round in season 2); 3 points for the winning team and 1.5 if it's a draw. This may all sound complicated but, really, it isn't... All we would ask from you is to play 4 CC rounds each week, report your scores for the first three rounds in our thread and provide a screenshot for your fourth round in our thread; Greg, our gentle yet efficient scorekeeper, will handle the rest! We could have captains for each team, who could choose who plays who in the first two rounds when it's their home game, to add a little strategy to it all. To be honest, after so many chose to go over the course of season 2, we did consider stopping altogether but soon realised that too many of us enjoy what we have here! We would like to go ahead with returning to what this was all about in the first place; friends who enjoy playing the CC rounds as part of a friendly team competition, without taking it too seriously, while still fighting for the glory of your team. And some banter on our thread, stupid jokes, silly gifs and extremely long posts by Mark, of course!! Basically, having fun together with pixel golf as the excuse to do so. We therefore hope you are all up for this! If you have people in mind that would be good additions to this group, let us know asap! We would love to welcome some CC players that enjoy a group like this. Even posh boys are welcome... So, please let us know (just send me a pm) of any friends out there that we should ask to join. Would be great if we can get together a group of 18 by Wednesday or so, so that we can go for a 10 week season. Thanks again for this season; I look forward to the next! Best wishes, Frans PS Tomorrow, I'll announce a little friendly in-between competition to keep us busy this coming week, so please DO go ahead and play the CC rounds and report your scores here!

Hi gang! In for the next season but for the fun week, I am on holiday with my adult children and my granddaughter, in central Florida visiting a certain mouse. Said granddaughter is nearing 4 yrs old so expecting a great time not thinking about pixel golf. And yes, the son-in-law and I will be playing two rounds on the Disney grounds while we’re here (spoiler alert: I’m worse in real life) Anyway, I’ll see you for the start of next season in whichever team seems mean fit for selection. In the mean time: I’M GOING TO DISNEY WORLD!!!
