Hi guys about read the last 4 pages of DPS, seeing I haven't been around for a few days, daughters birthday yesterday and had to take her out for lunch and the movies so everyone else could get her place decked out for her surprise party. to cut a long story short. Surprise party worked she didn't suspect a thing and I got very, very, very drunk, yes I am paying for it now.

Event 2 - Society (2 Rounds Individual) Round 1 -9 Round 2 -4 missed all the birdie putts on the slopey dopey greens  Total -13 Great way of opening the season with katana22 and Riotous 's courses. 2 Really fantastic designs with their own designer's personalities to add a bit of spice. |

Round 2 was an improvement in scoring and much better tempo. Started slow once again with 3 pars on first 3 holes before heating up with an eagle and 4 birdies over the last 6 holes to be -6 at the turn. I birdied 11, 13, 15, 16 and 18 to finish with -5 on the back 9.

Society Individual Round 1Decided to take some company around with me for Round 1 and record it for posterity!! Loaded up the ghost of my mate Art Art Vandelay and as we stood on the 1st tee and I looked at our attire I realised to my horror that the unthinkable has happened, Frans fransslabak has become the fashion icon of the Dead Parrots!! Fortunately both myself and Art, despite having dressed in the dark, had had the foresight to ensure that despite the Old School garbs we were wearing our clubs were more in keeping with 2020. Sam Riotous has yet again provided us with a lovely design to test our skills, or lack of, on. The pixel golf? Well, for the vast majority of the round I was trailing in the wake of the great man but....a good run on the last few holes I managed to reel him in and pass him with an 18th hole birdie. -8Onward!

Society Individual Round 2
Decided to head out on me Jack Jones for the 2nd Round in the interests of time. Another pleasant, relaxing round on Sam's course. Clean card. Started well, eased off a bit in the middle, finished strongly for a -9 and a tournament total of -17. Sitting happily at the top of the PC perch just waiting for the big birds of prey to come and knock me off.....

Just couldn’t get going tonight, triple bogey on that bloody 10th hole after trying to play safe meant I could only get -8 rd1.
On fire in rd2, pretty sure I was -7 after 8 but missed putt after putt to come on in only -11.
Onto Rd 4 and playing really well, thinking Carol had shot -8 I was playing carefully, sitting at -7 on the 15th I checked the scoresheet and saw that Carol had shot -10. WTF have I done! Got to the 18th feeling under pressure on -9 and hoping for a with wind...nope... driver into the centre bunker. Fuuuuuudgeeeeee. 9iron down the fairway. Sweaty palms grip a 7i facing a 13wind, the connection is sweet, the ball pings off the face, its the only straight line in 54 holes of golf and it comes to rest 6ft away, the birdie follows and all that remains is a Covid aware Fist Pump with Carol and a match thats halved.
Round 4 against the Big Gun can wait

This is a tricky course (unless you're Frans, apparently.) It's a really cool design and a lot of fun to play, I just can't really shoot lights out on it. Exactly what I'm looking for in a course - when I'm not needing to shoot in the mid-teens under par to score a point for my team, that is.

Nice looking course Sam, especially the 7th? Par 3 hitting towards the dam wall. Enjoyed playing my rounds

Event 1
2 rounds in the books nothing exceptional just plodded around with my Spam Sarnies and Lucozade. I was pleased with my chipping for a change carding 3 canaries on my 2 nd round.
