Indeed some of the finest dunes I've seen, and it played fair as well.
My only 'designer mind' note : I would be seriously worried about a shot coming in towards the 'other hole' on #5, I think it was.
I also tried settings as 'dusk'. If a fictional course has a 'real' locale, I always look up the current weather and try my best to set it up that way, as it was about 10pm here in Austin, and someone had said it had a 'Malibu feel', that seemed appropriate. Well, it was EXTREMELY dark in a few of the grassier areas & bunkers.
Thanks for the round, give a course of mine a play, if you would be so kind.

And thanks for noticing my dunes, but my face is up here. *motions hand upwards I can assure you that no two intended landing areas are within 90 yards of each other. And also any layups or situations where you'd hit into another group are not blind to that group or the golfer. The only exception being 9 and 18 where they have shared fairways and play in the same direction. But i placed a bunker that seemingly doesn't come into play on 9 to deter people from playing that area where they would cross. I took very special care in that. As far as lighting, yeah, it was designed under a certain light for certain reasons. The default time is noon actually. If you change it, it's dark AF ( jwtexan, maybe it worked?) But trust me, the course looks better in the dark than it would with the sun straight overhead. I'd try again at default to really appreciate the look. Thanks again for the play, and i'll definitely give a course of yours a round or 2. We're here to support fellow designers after all.

Yeah, the lighting on the back 9 for you was really accurate! π

Played this again yesterday and it's definitely one of my favourites in the CC contest so far. Very good effort on the template hole concepts and for a very wide course, which can in fact damage the strategic value of holes, the course held its strategy because of how well placed and angled the greens were. Not only is the playability there but the aesthetics are spot on too. The plot is well executed with the technical aspects of design being top notch and the atmosphere it gives off is great. My only worry is that this course might be on the difficult side for a CC with how the pins are set up, I definitely struggled to score on this course compared to the others, would be much more fitting for KF in my opinion. Great work, mate. 5 star.

Great work, mate. 5 star. Thanks a lot, Joe. Wide was the theme here. I really wanted options off the tee and tried to make as many of them come into play as possible, that's why the pins were a little tougher. Hopefully most of the holes play different from day to day. I knew I was going to miss the difficulty level and i'm fine with that. I could have softened them up a bit as far as sculpting goes but felt I was losing some of the strategy. So it was a conscious decision from the start but one I'm willing to live with. Again, thanks for the play and kind words. Ps. Raynor Ridge, St. Cyrus, and Kaiuma Bay were 3 courses I played a lot while making this.

Now ported. Fixed 2 pins on 16, shortened 15, and maybe flattened a tee box or 2 (really can't remember if I did). Also turned the green speed down a touch. They were lightning fast, now they're just really fast. Enjoy!
