And yes, my cc course has a par 3 where the best shot is a punch driver.

Also 12 is the best hole on the course and I'll fight anyone on that. Even you, Kenyon. Alright, i'm ready to fight. 10 is the best. Couple reasons. It's short but not driveable. There's plenty of room right of the bunkers and before them to safely land a wood or long iron. Yet everyone i see play it challenges the bunkers. Clearing it leaves you a pitch. Going short leaves you a 9 iron. Going right, a wedge. Angles matter. And my favorite part of the hole... i stole the layout.

If round 1 of our colab works I'd definitely be up for another. 10 is a fun hole. It's from b101's Marlette Fells (hole 3 I think) if you want to play a better version of if.

Think it’s fair to say it’s a Kenyon hole now given that Marlette 3 is a bit of a brute (a diagonal Narrows, essentially) where not taking on the bunkers leaves a long iron into a green that runs away to encourage the ground game. There’s not many options on that hole beyond how brave you are off the tee, so sounds like you’ve adapted it enough 🙂. You might notice a more mature take on the same concept on hole 7 at Old Ainsdale. P.s. interesting to note that Marlette 3 was one of the few holes I got critiques on in that it didn’t offer a better angle into the green depending on option choice. I disagree; that was king of the point of the tee shot - either take it on and be brave or be punished by distance alone. The more you lay back, the worse the angle and longer the distance. There were enough holes on that course offering lateral bailouts that I felt having one where it wasn’t purely vertical was warranted and added to variety. P.p.s. Sorry to hijack the thread slightly. Can’t comment on your course yet Justin, but will definitely get you full feedback when I can

One thing about marlette no. 3 i wanted to change in this design was options and that back pin you had. If i remember you could clear the bunker and then there was a between club pitch to a pin that ran away from you. There's a runoff now that even if you had a bad tee shot, you could still be aggressive. Just by widening it, it's definitely a scorers hole. But like I said, everyone challenges the bunkers anyway. It's almost like it's impossible to translate real world type strategies into the game...

This course really surprised me. It's actually very good, and you don't need to worry about your tee decks draining!

Ohhhhh. I somehow missed this with the glut of CC courses that have come out and my attention being mostly on warzone lately. But I will hop on it tonight. Looks great!

I set this course up in TGCAL xbox society as a 4 round major. Made sure the greens were firm and green speed 187. Rd 1 I shot -6. Very little wind 6 mph max. A very good flowing layout. Almost perfect IMO. Great job! Rd 2 I cranked up the wind to high. Looking forward to playing it some more.

Holes are all so, so very solid, memorable & varied. Such an engaging round from start to finish. Thought your opening 6 holes was a very formidable & demanding start to the round. Awesome. Your hole 7 (macro)sculpting is just nothing short of mighty fine work, such a cool hole on the side of the plot asking the golfer how much do you wanna chew off with the increasingly elevated cross-fairway & it wasn't until I got to your punchbowl at 13 & shared green at 14 & 11 that I really appreciated what you did with the land here. Standout feature of the playthroughs for me. Quality stuff bar a few unfortunate pins & hoping this gets ported over to the next game. Looking forward to your future publishes going forward into 2k21. This one is a lot of fun with some dope strategy 5* (F) - Jaffa

Thanks for the kind words. A few pins got hairy. The greens were sculpted with the whole land pretty much. Rarely did the brush get smaller than 15-20 yards. I felt it was a pretty good look, but it made it tough to pin them. I decided pretty early that I was going to miss the mark with difficulty, but im ok with that, even if it causes the course to fall in the contest. You'll definitely see this in 2k21 rebooted with any feedback in mind. Thanks again. - Justin Edit: 13 was originally going to be a short hole but the fairway bunkers from 7 and elevating 14s tee boxes made the land perfect for a punchbowl. Another thing that will probably lose me points, the par 3s are all longer.

Great course, Justin. Love the low profile seaside environment. At various points I felt like I was catching some "friendly Malibu" vibes. A great course if you don't want to be tortured but still want to be mentally engaged. The degree to which your designs have improved since the Rookie Contest is stunning.
