You finished tied for 2nd which is 4th plus 17. 4th point base was 15 + 17 = 32 and there were 6 strokes between 2nd and 3rd so you got 38. Just a minor thing about scoring. Is there a particular reasoning behind the fact that, considering base points only, we have the following differentials? 5th to 4th equals 5 points 4th to 3rd equals 10 points, 3rd to 2nd equals 7 points, 2nd to 1st equals 10 points. I would have expected to have increasing point differentials as one approaches the top!? Great feedback, Kevin. I went ahead and slightly altered the point distribution so that the top 3 will get 10 points between them and the rest get 5. Everything has been updated to reflect that. I'd love to have a good answer for the goofy point distribution from the beginning but I just don't 😂😂

1st round -5 2nd round -10
The very firm greens and wind on the 1st round hampered my scoring and it was clearly evident with my score on the friendlier 2nd round conditions. I had a chances to drop a few eagles but the putts just trickled by.

Never played particularly well at Amaroo bay, so I blame the designer Did not feel comfortable with the conditons, so I blame the scheduler Round 1: -4 Round 2: -6 On a serious note, I want to thank all those of you who have expressed interest about my mum's health issues. I really appreciate that. She's been diagnosed with a chronic disease, but at least the treatment is making her feel better, and since it's a respiratory disease, there were concerns that she might be COVID-19 infected, but that was not the case. Again, thanks a lot to all of you

Ashton Fox 3rd round -9 At the halfway point the final score seemed to be a far way off as I was -2 courtesy of back to back birdies on the 3rd and 4th. I started the back 9 with 4 birdies in a row then picked up another 3 on the 15th, 17th and 18th. It was my first bogey free round of the week and I think most of my pars were more missing birdies than saving pars.

Halfway through the week and I did a morning sweep of the scores. Looks like this course played well for some and not so well for others. I am hopeful to have a tee time for 36 today but that all depends on how work work and home work goes.
I hope you are all well and good luck to those who are yet to play/finish!

Ashton Fox 4th round -8 It seems quite obvious now that I play better on the back 9 than the front. I was -3 at the turn as I socially distanced my birdies on the 2nd, 4th and 7th. Started the back 9 well with back to back birdies on the 10th and 11th then my other 3 came on the remaining odd numbered holes. 32 under for the week shows I'm getting more consistent, just in time for the new game and probably a new swing set up.

"Socially distanced my birdies"... That is gold. I'm going to use that in real life golf! You've been playing very well lately, Pat. Just in time for the new game to come out 😁😁

Too many tempo issues to really enjoy myself. I have a hunch it's the X1 I used for the rounds. Really like the course and I made plenty of deposits in the various bodies of water.

Slightly better performance by me on rounds two and three. Don't get me wrong, I still suck, but I managed to hide a bit that "suckness" for a few holes Round 3: -10 Round 4: -7

Well, I'm not ashamed as I played not so bad, but I was too rushed to finish the rounds and let it go after the first 7 holes. I should take a little more time to end my rounds. The third round ending is pitiful. I should have stop playing when it turned bad at 14th.

Looking at things here on Friday: We have a few rounds left to be reported (or in my case, played). While it looks like we may have a 2 time winner in up mup kupen nup , he shouldn't get too comfortable as we have 2 more weeks and one is worth double points. More interestingly, we won't have a clump up in second so we'll see how the final points shake out. Rounds not yet reported (which is fine since we still have over a day and a half) zorbacles (round 4) Ashton (rounds 3 and 4) sid snott (all rounds) Again, thanks everyone for participating and I'm excited to see how the rest of the week shakes out. Best of luck!
