Hello and welcome to the official thread for the Dirtbags Swansong Invitational Tournament (or Dirtbags SIT)! This event will be run over a 4 weeks span and is open to all past and current Dirtbags (if are not a Dirtbag and you would like to participate, please send me a PM).
FORMAT: The tournament will be played on the TGCT CC-Pro in-game society on PS4, X1, and PC. If the participant is currently on a CC-Pro tier for TGCTours, scores will be grabbed and verified using the website. If a participant is NOT currently on a CC-Pro tier, I ask that person sends me a screenshot of their scorecard for verification. Participants can feel free to tag me in posts with their scores or to let me know which rounds they have played, otherwise I will be doing sweeps to check on completion. Rounds must be completed prior to the society ending the event. Incomplete tournaments will count as a WD/DNF.
SCORING: Players will play stroke play with the lowest score winning each tournament. Tournament standings will then equate into points with the final tournament being worth DOUBLE POINTS to really try and make things interesting. Last place will receive 5 points and then the next place above them will get 10 points (the 5 from the place below + 5 points for finishing better) PLUS the difference between them and the previous place. Points will be increased in increments of 5 until 3rd place (4th place +10), 2nd (4th place +20), 1st (4th place +30). So it doesn't just matter what place you finish but how much separation you can create between you and the place behind you. An example of the scoring will be on the spreadsheet. Please let me know if you have any questions.
The courses: The Fall Classic at Dancing Rabbit (which is actually the Summer Classic at Bandon Dunes 2019 Lidar by DIRTBAG Mike Ricks) Ty Webb Classic at Amaroo Bay by DIRTBAG Mike Georgiades The Caddyshack Open at Kallen Island Tour The Duffer Classic at Murfhoffen GC by DIRTBAG Pat O'Dell
Current roster: Ashton
I'm looking forward to some friendly competition on some wonderful Dirtbags courses. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate. Otherwise, best of luck and we'll see you out there!

Dear Ashton Fox, dear interested reader, Having completed my Euro rounds yesterday evening, I intended to continue with my CC tournament. However, as I got more and more tired, I decided to stop after 3 rounds. After the first two rounds, I wondered how people could go very low on a course that seemed not so easy to me. My approaches kept landing in difficult spots, and I felt I had to fight for every birdie. Things clicked then in round 3, where I almost managed to compensate my prudent scoring from the first two rounds towards my target of an average of -10 per round. For the record: the first three rounds of -9, -7, and -13 should add up to -29. Good luck all!

Ashton Fox 2nd round -13 The round started off rather mediocre with 3 birdies on the front 9, they were all sunk on the 3rd, 5th and 9th holes. A pitch in eagle on the 10th got the back 9 off to a great start, then a run of birdies from the 12th to the 17th. A perfect/slow drive on the 18th left me with an awkward lie but a well executed approach landed within 10ft of the hole, which was duly sunk for eagle and I finished the back 9 the way I started it.

Rd 1: 64 (-8) Rd 2: 66 (-6) Man, that wind in rd 1 was just brutal. The 2nd rd conditions were better but pin placements pretty tough. Not sure how you guys are going so low, but great shooting. Ashton Fox

A morning sweep of the scores and here's what we have going on: A -6, a -7, a -8, and a -9. Talk about tight!
If we peek ahead to round 2, I haven't been able to grab zorbacles 2nd round but Celtic Wolf takes the lead with a stellar -13 (!) round with up mup kupen nup and Hunter B close behind. Being the score catcher means I get to know all the scores going in before I play and I gotta tell you, you guys are really putting the pressure on me as these have all been good scores coming in.
A friendly reminder to anyone lurking, it's not too late to join! All you have to do is let me know that you would like your scores to be counted and you are in. This is in inclusive set of tournaments and I will not turn down someone who wants to play and inject positivity! Thank you to the guys who have been tagging me and posting their scores as that has made it really easy on me.
It's only Tuesday but this has been exciting (at least to me) so far. Good luck!

Ashton Fox 3rd round -7 I was playing well through the front 9 with 5 birdies which came in batches on the 2nd-4th and 7th-8th. I got derailed a bit on the 2 par 3's on the back 9 as i dropped a bogey on both but managed another 4 birdies to get me through the back 9 on -2 and -7 for the round.

Ashton,
I was demoted to CC am but I still play CC Pro rounds (and will not play CC Am), but you cannot find my scores. Do you need just the screen resuming the rounds scores of the 4 complete cards ?

Correct! Just send me a picture of each scorecard or the screen at the end with the 4 rounds and you're good to go!

Rd 1: -8
I was E at the turn and then went unconscious. A HOI on 15 and eagle on 18 was great. It just takes me too long to get warmed up sometimes.
Rd 2: -7 My strengths round 1 were my weaknesses round 2 (aside from a 2nd eagle on 18). What sums up my TGC career than that I've played 15 twice and have a HOI and a bogey.
This course isn't visually stunning (because it's not supposed to be) but it plays really well.
