-9 and -7 in the last 2 rounds for a -32 finish. Didn’t think I’d make the cut this week but I snuck in. That’s 2 cuts in a row...haven’t done that in awhile

First tournament on the tours in about 6 months and happy to be sitting in the top 10, probably will finish just outside it but a great result. Have to say though, there are much better versions of Portrush than this one like the one yeltzman did. The layout and planting was fairly accurate in this one but the elevations were all over the place. I think this version is more suited for current TGC tours play,I won't trick my courses up just to lower the scores,I notice the 148th open version and the pins and the changes i made after the event is being played for open qualifying,Again just a shame the people who pick the courses won't play something like West lancs and St annes old links where open qualifying takes place but for TGC tours play maybe too easy but in the end always thought you should never worry about scoring.PS also i have messaged About Turnberry whch is being played week after next, there is a much better version i feel in the 19 version i feel its my best course.

Ya I get you, just felt annoying when you see the first and pretty much plays flat when there's actually a serious climb up to that green. Then it was disappointing to get to calamity corner and have a downhill shot when in reality it's about 15 to 20 feet of a climb and probably one of the toughest par 3's in the world because of it.

I think what you have to remember is that both courses were designed months before the event so a lot of it was guesswork because it had been years since an event was held there and with the new holes on the 7th and the 8th.Its like on my version the downhill 13th TV coverage had it at 30 feet downhill were i think mine was 22 feet down what google earth gave it as,In the end if is was done now after the event and like all courses especially real ones could always be better.Saying that Graham Beatt the course manager helped me out a little online with a few things but in the end Since using LIDAR for England's courses can't beat the real terrain and blend it in how the game plays. Also 99% of players just play the name will have no clue if a course is close or not

R3: -7 7 approaches that found good portions of the green and rolled off the sides. helped the putting stats though. #cuphalffull R4: -5 O fer 11 on putts under 10-20' isn't going to cut it. The short lip out on H72 is going to cost me some cow points.
total: -27
