Good evening, I almost created a new thread, lol. But here we are with almost a page filled already. I have to admit that I am one of those people who liked the course. But in my case, I believe it's more because I generally like these slightly geometric designs. I agree with Frans on the point about the pin placements right behind a slope/bunker/nomansland, though. Anyway, I am quite satisfied with my game so far, sitting at -9 (-2 and -7) halfway through. Good luck guys! -5 through round 1, double bogey on 11 really got me heated. Hopefully getting round 2 done tonight before you post the leaderboard tomorrow. Second round should be scoreable with the pin locations but I've disappointed myself before. Based on the scores I saw on the PS4 leaderboard the second round seems to be playing harder than the first. Good luck!

Surprised I haven't noticed any complaints on the round 1 pin on #13. How that position got approved is a shocker to me but I've been out of this game for awhile so maybe that's just the new norm.

I somehow shot a bogey free -6 to go with my -8 in the first round and surprisingly find myself joint top of the leaderboard, well on PS4 anyway 😂

My event, summarized in one shot... +2 in round 2. +1 at the halfway point. I want to laugh but I've been there myself on numerous occasions

I was about to but decided not to single out any hole in particular but that’s the hole I got a quad bogey on when I was -5. Had a 8 foot putt for par that just lipped out then rolled off the green and 22 yards away. F’n ridiculous set up

I was -8 through the front 9...

First week of no very fast downswings in ages. Happy to shoot -1 and -3 considering I made a quad on the backside in round 1 (same hole mentioned by others I believe) and went OB first shot on 1 in the second round. If I could just have those two holes back, could be -10, bah. As is, -4 probably misses the cut by 1 or 2.

Good morning,
I just finished playing the remaining two rounds. Managed to add another -2 with eagles on both par 5s and a more unspectacular -5 to finish the week at a very satisfying -16.
As a final thought, I would like to support the idea of having courses that are more difficult to play every now and then. In my view, the fact that such courses often seem frustrating may be because people are used to scoring an average -7 to -10 per round and then become upset as they don't get a birdie opportunity on, say, every other hole. Even though I noticed some irregular pins as well (the one on the back nine in round 3 cost me, as I was situated above the hole and merely coughed at the ball to see it roll down 50 ft), I haven't had the feeling that the course played particularly unfair. Actually, I found Ardoilean far worse. 🙈 But I guess that also has to do with personal strengths/weaknesses and playing style.
Good luck to all still playing!

I have to correct myself and say that the round 3 pins were alot better. Not that I took alot of advantage out of it but that's another story.

Round 1: +1
12 (Twelve!) very fast swings on my approaches. Got to the point I actually took a piece of paper and made tick marks. Every shot was a save for par and thank goodness, my scrambling was quite successful.
GIR of 38%. Easily the worst of Euro, by 20%.
I can't compete if HB won't make it possible.

Third round +4 4th round -2 for a -3 total. Moneyman, for pure comedy sake you should ghost my third round. Vf downswing Came back with a vengeance. I must say, there are tough courses that you shouldn’t partake of adult beverages on, but this one I should have just started and ended straight out of the bottle. On to next week maybe, let’s see if I drop below 200th place 🤣 I won't be playing the third round, Phil..........unless I pull a -8 round 2 out of my magic hat!

The strategy involved off the tee, and thinking two shots ahead... but what mind effs most of us are the combination of the undulating/ tier and marble greens. The brilliance of this course from tee to green is painfully neutralized by the crazy roll outs once on the green. It's Artificially tricked out. I rangered/ reviewed the first version of this course- with the 170 greens- and it played very difficult but very fair. 187 goes against the design of that course. I shot -2 in my practice round- with 4 putts that went off the green- pulled a vag muscle walking off the 18th green, and will probably wait for the weekend to play my Cow Cup rounds.
