I am posting this statement to sadly withdraw myself from this outstanding contest.
Unfortunately, over the past few weeks, I have had a multitude of editing issues from 1fps bugs and crashing with everything in between. For these reasons and many more not disclosed I will not have a course worthy of hosting The United States Open Championship by the deadline hence I must withdraw. I am optimistic for my future as a designer and hope that this disappointing occurrence of events doesn't hurt my credibility with everyone, but I can completely understand if it does.
I would like to wish everyone participating in this event the best of luck and may the best course win.

Just played mine through after rushing it in last minute (at 5am local time), I probably would have spent several more weeks on it if I could but although there are some bits I'd want to change, reasonably happy. Now I'm really excited to go play the other entries, I've played a handful and I can't wait to play the rest. Perhaps my tour form can improve as well now I can take my head out of the GNCD ... Time to start playing

Time to start playing Big picture: Amazing effort. Was really blown away by the terrain sculpting. Thought that was going to be the best part until I got to #4. The train tracks were brilliant. A+++ score for those and the tunnel. Finer picture: I got the feeling as I worked through the back 9 that you may have been rushing to completion. (Which appears to have been the case) The pin on 13 was on a bad slope ( obviously an easy fix). The 17 fairway was too extreme in my opinion. Some of the fairway brushes were a little rough as well. Hoping I'm not taking away from what was a spectacular golf course overall. I hope you do go back and take your time to get it how you want it. It would be one of my top courses in the game. Very well done.

Thank you smoknpirate, really appreciate the kind words. I wish it wasn't the case but you are correct, I was running short on time. Issues like the pin on 13 are down to me tinkering with the pin/tee placements. I built it with the view that it potentially would use at least two sets of tees and 4 pin placements across a tournament... I didn't quite get to playing a full round and ensuring I hadn't left any anywhere silly (got to 11 when my alarm went off to say I had 10minutes left) I most definitely want to go back and make it 100% as I like, I'm happy to leave it in the hands of the judges for now and see what they make of it Much appreciated

The generally dim lighting and complete overuse of fairway shadows in Pinehurst #2 (blue) leave me incredulous that it was selected.

As mentioned in my review of the course as well, you might run into some framerate issues on that course (at least on PS4).
But it definitely could be worse...
