I shot -12, -14, -13, -14
Those scores were all in my head. I didn't actually come close to that. This week I kept track of the makeable putts (10 ft or less) that I took a crap on. Approximately 3 to 4 per round.
Some of my putting issues are my fault with poor reads or judgment on speed. Some were just middle finger from the game. One in particular sticks out. Had a 7ft putt for birdie. Two beads moving slowly to the left. I hit it with a straight line and missed 6 inches right. That didn't happen often but enough to further dig the knife in.
Tougher course overall. Round 1 had high winds but nothing unreasonable and helped on a few holes. Greens we're back and forth between 163 and 187. I liked the course overall. Only complaints were the 12th hole should have been a part 5, the lighting was awful (I really dislike playing with a setting sun and the shadows), and having fairways with small landing zones that slope in for the heavy rough gets old. Nothing worse than a ball rolling 1inch in to the rough getting a 70-77% lie. I'm guessing with pro or master clubs you could avoid those areas much easier.
I had a few bogies, including one 18 in the final round. Don't honestly remember my final score but it was awful. I think I'll be outside top 10 this week.
Xbox society was full of people complaining about the use of beginner clubs. Don't know if other platforms get the same comments, but it's funny to read how people think we are cheating or fooling the system or how we should be banned from ever participating in TGCT.
I predict -52 to win.

sorry John I posted a dupe thread below yours! I predicted -57 to win, but I think I'm high. I think this is the toughest course I've had to deal with.

First round wind was never going to be my friend as I can have issues getting the ball close in lower wind conditions. I'll assume I had an ugly looking GIR% and I didn't have many scoring chances as a result. Only managed a -4 but happy to see a 0mph wind to start round 2.

got close to -50, happy with my play (specifically my approach shots into the headwind) but the competition has been fierce on here (even moreso than usual) so i wouldn't be surprised if the winning number is in the 50s. yaters see the same thing on PS4, kinda nice to be labeled in the 'cheater' category tho, never thought i'd be there a year ago!

Played badly, first round reasonable, second going fine then a triple bogey. Nothing much after that. Roll on the new game!

I had a +6 on the 7th hole of round 2.
I don't think I've played a round in conditions like that since an occasional week here and there when I was on Web. Fairways where you can land the tee shot in the left rough, then have it bounce and roll all the way across the fairway and roll about 2 inches off the fairway on the right and be faced with a 75% lie. Greens where you can miss the hole by a couple of feet, catch a slope and not stop rolling until you're halfway back to the tee. Putts where the same thing can happen(as did to me on hole 7) with the lightest of taps catching the side of the cup and then not stopping. Putts without large break being few and far between.
I've said I don't mind a challenge every now and then so I'll tolerate this week and move on knowing we shouldn't see anything else like this for a while. I will also say that this round did manage to annoy me more than any in a long while as it took just about everything I hate seeing in a round of golf in this game and threw them all at me a few times over 18 holes.
The people on the PS4 comment board were also critical of it but I don't but credence in anything they say since they'd complain if we got Little Brook Manor. So I'm not sure if I'm alone in my feelings amongst the non-whiners in here, or am I becoming one of "them"?
Oh and I ended the day with a -2, so despite these issues I actually would have scored decently if not for that one hole.
Disclaimer:this was intended more as a rant than it is a complaint. I am in no way questioning the schedulers sanity for using this course and these conditions for an event at this level. Unless the majority have a similar experience to me, in which case I'll jump on any bandwagon that gets started.

Unless the majority have a similar experience to me, in which case I'll jump on any bandwagon that gets started. I had a quad and a couple doubles in round 2 as well and finished with an 82 on my card. Granted I am by no means good, but I’m glad to see I’m not alone in my struggles. Every time I missed a fairway I assumed a bad number was coming, and had more than a couple shots roll back to where I stood. I like the course and think it is great, however it seems overly punishing for the smallest of errors at times.

My +6 was I’ll admit a lot my fault, but the course has to take some of the blame as well. Approach was a bit short of the hole, hit the slope and rolled off the front. Flop went about 10ft past the hole. Downhill putt, light tap, caught the edge of the cup, kept rolling back to where I was two strokes earlier. Now I’m scared to hit that far beyond the hole so I drop a club on the flop. Barely hit the green, roll back down. Add some loft to take some distance off the other club. Too much distance off, land just short of the hole, roll back down. A bit less loft, same result. Accidentally use the wrong club, back down again. Finally get the right distance, tap in sextuple bogey. Technically legal hole condition from a ranger standpoint so it was just one of those holes that can happen sometime and it got into my head too much. At least I enjoy stories of massive failure, even when they’re my own.
The ones that will always annoy me most though are the fairways that punish a good tee shot. Just takes one of those to ruin a round for me even if it doesn’t end up costing me a stroke.

Ditto, round two seventh hole was where I came to grief, I think I ended -1 for the round. I agree, the greens were unforgiving.

I didn't play that great in round 3 but I completely blame myself this time as the conditions were far more playable and I enjoyed the round despite my -6.
