I got a phone call from the admins. “Dan” they said “ We need your skills, we need your scheduling super power. Only someone with your ability can save us. We are short one course for the US open qualifiers, we need you to find this course, set up this course. Tgctours needs you, you are our only hope.” I had to tell them no, that I was far to busy looking after my peeps here on the KF. That the happiness and well being of you guys is far more important than something like the US open. That finding courses for the KF is my life’s work and nothing else matters. “Well in that case” came the reply, “ we will just have to take one of the courses you have already submitted and use it in the qualifiers”. I was having none of this, “ Over my dead body” i shouted “ will I allow my dear kornholers to be treated as second class citizens, there is no chance.....” ”Your fired” was how they interrupted me. “You never let me finish my sentence” I replied, “There is no chance, that I will leave both my kornholers and the rest of the tour down, the kornholers will be playing in the qualifiers as well, they need to have the same fantastic experience they have there as they do in regular events. Take any course from the schedule you want”. That is the 100 percent true and accurate reason why this week’s planned course was changed, and why you lucky lucky people get to play two courses scheduled by me this week. It must be like all your Christmas’s coming at once. This did leave me with a problem, I was short one course. I thought to myself, at least it gives a chance for another talented and skilled designer to show their amazing talents on tour. Unfortunately, none of the were available so I called rfitzgerald11 instead. He told me he had a course called Khaleesi Hills ready to go. I was excited, a game of thrones themed course, maybe dragons, maybe white walkers, maybe full frontal nudity. I went to the course for inspection, saw the sign over the gates, Kalista Hills. God dammit, another designer that can not spell, another designer that really does not have a clue about what’s going on outside his own golf course. This is the sort of shite I have to deal with every week. Once someone events some way of auto generating golf courses, life will get way easier for me. I did not even bother inspecting the course, because of my kindness and generous nature left me a course short, I had no choice but to use it. I bet there is not even a hill on the course and Ryan thought adding the word hill to the name made his course sound sophisticated. Damn designers are the curse I have to deal with to bring joy and happiness to you. Anyway, enjoy and have fun.

First round done. Started off well enough with 4 early birdies and reached the turn at -5. Didn't putt too badly on the 163's for a change but still struggling to get the speed/break ratio right and got on the par train a bit on the back. Then this happened...
Backed that up with a more traditional eagle at the next hole and that saved the round. Ended with a decent -10, could have been better but I'll take it. Hoping (selfishly) for some faster greens in the next few rounds!
Nice course Ryan, I really enjoyed the strategy off some of the tees and the greens were very fair. Good luck everyone!

That’s a tremendous shot! Way to go!
I didn’t play bad but had way too many lip outs! So frustrating. Went -8 and -9 for a -17 and I’m holding my breath for the cut.
Good luck everyone I really hope you enjoy this week.

Played a couple of practice rounds, and really like this week's course. Hopefully it translates to a good showing. This could be the shortest stay possible on the KF tour. 2 weeks in, 4 demo marks. Pressure is on lol

So off i set with the challenge of making 4 cuts in a row. Birdied the first, birdie putt from 14ft on the second, moved the marker to 15ft, lipped the hole and disappeared 54ft off the back of the green, chip up and a putt to walk away with a bogey. FFS. Close birdie putts on the next 7 holes, convert 4 to be -4 after 9. I'm playing with the ghost of the RD1 leader and i'm inside his ball all day, but i'm not chipping in and holing from 40ft. 12th hole, left the approach 7 yds short, decided to putt in what i thought was fringe, ball rolled a foot, tried it again balled rolled a foot again, walked off with a 6 - total brain fart and although i'm looking for someone else to blame i think i've got to wear it. 3 birds in the next 6 holes but i couldn't tell you anything about them. Pretty sure i started Round 2 but i was seething with myself at this point.
So... Will miss the cut, may get a demo mark, playing the best golf i've ever played, stupid decisions are now costing me rather than bad swings. I'm off to get beaten to a pulp on the US Open qualifier
None of the above affected my enjoyment of the course, there's some interesting options and trouble to be found if you're concentrating, a very good fit for our Tour.
Unless something biblical happens in Round 2 i'll be back next week, good luck out there

Second round was one of those where I was just slightly off. It wasn't that I was terrible, just a fast here and a slow there left me a lot of mid-long range putts. Especially slows, think I had a slow hand last night. Good tune.
I did make 9 birdies, but 3-putted from the fringe 3 times for bogies. Two of them were clumsy, the one on 18 a little bit unlucky. Hope that doesn't cost me but I have a feeling -16 might just squeeze in for the weekend. And when you have demotion marks that's all that really matters.

Played really well out of the gate. Was -4 thru 6, -6 thru 9 and -9 thru 14. Then got a blue screen and never got into a rhythm after that. Finished the last 4 at even par, and struggled in round 2 en route to just a -5, leaving me at -14 after 2 rounds.
Hoping R2 just plays harder because there were a couple of really tough hole locations. Scoring is so tight that there are lots of players at -7 and -6 who could creep into the top 65. Going to wait and see, but not too optimistic.

An ex scheduler on The Korn Ferry, suspicious. Schedulers that can not schedule any more are normally sent to The Whittled Down Retirement Home. It’s possible we have a spy from the admins. Ok guys, to be safe, next week’s meeting of the Korn Ferry separation and independence group has been cancelled until further notice. There will be no refunds on the Korn Ferry, We Sail Alone t-shirts. All praise Doyley.

I presume you've come down rather than come up? You'll soon realise that was a good result, it's fun around here

Some really great scores in round one. Well played. I had a slow start on the front. even though I hit every fairway all round, the close approaches were spaced apart on the front. The back was better with the an eagle on one par five and four birds aided by a couple chip ins. -10 and hoping to avoid the choke in round two.

Damn, that 3 putt on the 36th hole looks like it has cost me. I said it was unlucky because I hit a good putt. From the fringe, about 35 feet, thought I'd holed it but it just died past the front edge and then just trundled on to that down slope and kept going. Oh well. -16 is about 30/70 to make it I reckon so you never know. If I miss the cut by 1 shot I think that's the third time in four weeks!

Finally put 2 solid rounds together and looks like I’ll get one of those 4 demotion marks back. Hit some really good shots in round 1, and unlike most it seems, I putt better on the 163 greens. Was able to turn that into a -11 start. Round 2 started really well, could have been -7 on the front but for 2 burned edges on makeable putts on 8 and 9. Finished -8 for a -19 total. Now to try and do some damage on the weekend.
